Start using Mumsnet PremiumFor FIL early 70's. He has re read lots of the classics recently (especially likes the Brontes & Dickens). Quite likes historical and travel based fiction too from what I see. I know he enjoyed the Joanne Harris books recently.
He reads a lot, so ideally would like to get something new ish to cut down the chances of him having read it.

Has he read The Worst Journey in the World? Not new, but brilliant 'travel' writing. Non-fiction.
