II need something uplifting please!

Finally getting the time to get stuck into books again and can't decide where to start. I would love to read something uplifting, nothing dark or sad right now, so looking for some suggestions please.

Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day is lovely. By Winifred Watson, published by Persephone Books. I've given it to several friends when I thought they needed something amusing and uplifting to read.
