I wonder if anyone can recommend a book in which Liverpool features heavily? My fil grew up in Liverpool and would enjoy a book that reminds him of that time. I don't have any particular genre in mind.
I've not read this, but Gumshoe was a pretty famousish film with Albert Finney.
The Angels of Lovely Lane and Ruby Flynn by Nadine Dorries (yes, the politician) is set in Liverpool of the 50s. Those are full of the feel of Liverpool of the era...
