Creepy winter book inspiration please!

Just finished The Ice Twins and am getting withdrawal symptoms - would love suggestions for similar please. I do love a good thriller/ghost story as the nights draw in. Some of my other favourites:

Dark Matter is very good but be warned I found it terrifying and I don't think I am easily scared.
It's not gory just really, really creepy

I'm currently reading Harbour by John Ajvide Lindqvist. It's brilliant. He also wrote Let the Right One In which is very good (and creepy, if you like vampires) too.

The Ritual by Adam Nevill. It's about a group of men hiking in the ancient forests of Sweden.

One of them is injured and they go off track, get lost, and slowly become aware that something is stalking them through the trees.

He has a book called Last Days as well, about a weird suicide cult being investigated by a TV documentary maker, who realises that the survivors are still being visited by those who died.

I love John Ajvide Lindqvist, really liked Harbour, there's a book of short stories as well, Let The Old Dreams Die, that's quite good. Odd, creepy stories.

I've just downloaded The Loney £2.99 on kindle - shortlisted for Costa debut novel prize this week. Think it's supposed to be gothic horror crosed with literary fiction. Would welcome some other readers to compare notes with on here afterwards if I make it through to the end

The Kate Mosse books are all Kindle daily deals today and are 1.99. There's a couple of winter ghost-type books there (I'm not a fan though, I have to say).

oooh, thanks for all these - now downloaded to the kindle! I was always a paperback girl, until my old kindle broke and I got a paperwhite, now I actually prefer reading on the kindle to reading a paperback.
(btw Love the b/w old film 'Night of the Demon' from an MR James story, and always wrap up Xmas pressies while watching it - well worth spending a rainy Sunday afternoon in December on it ).

Lumpy I am working my way through his Merrily Watkins books at the moment.

The first one wasn't his best, but they have been improving as I've gone on. I'm on number five (I think) at the moment. The Lamp of the Wicked. But I'm going to take a break when I've finished it to read The Loney.
