Holiday Read Recommendations Please?

Can anyone recommend some good easy holiday reads when we go away (either kindle app on Android or that I can get out of the library)?

I like crime thriller type books, modern girly type books and also good non fiction ones.

Not really crime thriller , but Night Waking by Sarah Moss is fabulous.
