Why do people in 'light hearted' books

(3 Posts)

Always seem to have a spare holiday home? Where they can go and think. Where they can take time out from the trials of their busy lives to listen to the sea. Meet their rugged neighbour. Go and live when they separate from their spouse.

I'm reading Marian Keyes and they've both got a spare house to muse in.

And, more to the point, why haven't I got a spare seaside property? grin

Ha! Yes, have noticed that too. They never have to ring a million holiday lets/browse endless websites to try and find somewhere to escape to, do they? grin
