Anyone else read After Birth by Elisa Albert? (discussion thread)

I read it in a day. The description of early years as tropical years (the dutch call them that as one year of military action in Mongolia(?) counted as double) really resonated with me.
I read the Guardian article where the author talked about her friend bf her baby for her. That thread went the way of all feeding threads ebf vs bottle.
Mumsnet would have a field day with this fictional narrator. Ari is anti c sections, anti formula, anti ivf. She is potentially depressed and is raging.
Whatever you think of the narrator, the language, the viewpoints or the author, it is still one of the most fearless honest pieces of fiction I have read in a long while.
Have any of you read it yet and how did you find it?

I started it but could not finish. I get most of my reading done during feeding sessions with DD, and I found it was giving me the rage! I plan to try again when I'm less hormonal - I too read the Guardian article, and like the idea of a different perspective on motherhood.

I loved it as a rant, but as a narrative it really didn't work. I read it at the time it came out, and I can't really remember anything about the story itself, though I do remember nodding along vigorously with some of the 'dealing with early motherhood is terrible!' stuff.
