I know there are few fans of Elizabeth Taylor on here. Virago have reissued her only children's book, Mossy Trotter. I know this is the adult fiction board, but honestly it's brilliant. Was one of my favourite books as a child so was very excited to get my hands on a copy. Have just finished reading it to my 7yo ds and we both really enjoyed it. The writing is just superb, as you would expect, and its very very funny.
