Hurt, the sequel to Little Girl Lost (Brian McGilloway) is only 99p.

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell is £1.49. It's YA and I haven't read it but my twitter timeline has been effusive in praising it.

A search for 'kindle books' and sorting by price brings a whole host of books up, the first few pages being free ones - a lot of authors give away the first of a series so folk get a taste for them - there's a button on the bottom left to search by price too.
