Have read Maus and Persepolis recently. Have my eye on Building Stories!

Not quite the same I know, but I have read/own Buffy season 8 (although I think there has been more released since I bought it) and a couple of x-men Wolverine related ones. Although I'm not quite sure if they count as comics or graphic novels? They're hardbacked anyway.

I've heard there are some GoT and Discworld ones out there that I'd be interested in.

Oh yes! Neil Gaiman's sandman series is still great, I've also got one by Brian Talbot called Alice in Sunderland. Must get around to reading From Hell.

If you like the autobiographical ones you might like those by Alison Bechdel and Seth.

I used to when I was in my comic book phase but I've kind of gone off them in recent years. Ds2 is a big Scott Pilgrim fan but he found my Lux and Alby Sign On and Save The World (Martin Millar) recently and I had to prise it off him (not sure he's quite ready for it yet!). He's constantly after my Furry Freak Brothers comics so I've had to hide them too.

But I was looking at The Hobbit graphic novel in Waterstones the other day and might have to nip back and buy it if I have any Christmas money left.

Love them, favourites are definitely the Sandman series.

There are also some beautiful ones illustrated by Dave McKean, like Black Orchid and Arkham Asylum.

I like the Thorgal series, originally written in French and now being translated into English. Stories with a lot of depth and really lovely art, sort of science fiction/fantasy. The only downside is that especially the early translations seem to have been aimed at a younger audience so some of the grittier elements have been censored out - that seems to stop in the later ones as these stories were never intended for a young audience. Love Alan Moore too!

Have read Maus which is amazing, I think everyone should read it. I'm waiting for it to be my turn to select the next book for my book club so I can choose it.

DH loves graphic novels and is building up a little collection. I've read a few including Maus and The Preacher series.
