(10 Posts)Her books are very real and funny.
I love Laurie Graham. i don't have a kindle but at 56p if you don't know her work then it's worth a punt. Recommend Gone with the Kennedys and Humble Companion.
Yes and dog days and glenn miller nights about a sassy war veteran living in an East London tower block. Hilarious.
thank you!
Thanks for the tip, just got myself the Glenn Miller one!
Hi, just wanted to come back and say I've now read the Dog Days and Glenn Miller nights and it was brilliant, really enjoyed it (not least because I'm from very near the part of East London that it's set in).
Thank you for the recommendation, I'd never heard of Laurie Graham but I'll definitely be trying more by her
I was recommended Laurie Graham by another Mnetter for which I shall be forever grateful, she is fab.
At Sea had me in pieces
Not 56p though.
Not any more, but it was on the day this was posted!
I just saw this thread high up on the Adult Fiction list. So glad that you enjoyed the book Hope. It's a long while since I read that one. I want her to write a new one as I am up to date with all the titles. I loved At Sea as well, Maud.
