Youth And Age On Beaulieu River (by Betjeman) is lovely and poignant reflecting lost youth.

When I am an old woman - Jenny Joseph (am already saving up for my red hat)

When you are old - Yeats (love the idea of being loved for a pilgrim soul)

Do not go gentle into that good night - Dylan Thomas (just beuatifully lyrical)

Sonnet LXX111 - Shakespeare (lovely)

Thank you all for your suggestions. In the end I read my late sons poem, it was called The Stages of Man.........from birth until death, it made me very emotional. It was a lovely evening, eight ladies sat on the beach all brought lovely food/wine..........sat watching the twinkling lights of Calais across the channel.............lovely :)
