I started reading her books in the late seventies and picked up one "Storm Tide" at a charity shop recently.
I love her....I must reread some.
I was never too keen on the sci fi ones, but enjoyed the contemporary ones such as Vida and Small Changes. Love the seventies flavour.

Anyone else like them?

I really loved Vida and have re-read it several times over the years. I have read quite a few of her books but I think I need to read them again as my mind is drawing a blank on them.

I really disliked Woman on the Edge of Time. My exDP raved about it and I remember being pleased I read Vida first as if I had read Woman first, I would never have read any more of her work.

I really loved them about 30 years ago! (Old gimmer alert). Vida was my favourite - like Electrics, not so keen on Woman on the Edge of Time. Am not a fan of utopias, dystopias and sci fi anyway.

She is a really underrated writer. I love Vida too. Braided Lives is excellent, and I recently read her French Revolution one, City of Darkness, City of Light, which is very enjoyable.

(I do love Woman OTEOT and am always recommending it to people. Curiously, nobody has ever come back and said how great it was!)

WOTEOT is one of my all time favourite books! I like all of hers that I have read - found it great to see how she could change genres like that

I devoured small changes, braided lives approx 20 years ago, but don't think I ever read vida, so I'm so excited to have the prospect of reading it before me! Fab Grin

I've only read her memoir which I liked particularly because of her love of cats! Haven't tried her fiction though.

I'm just about to read Gone to Soldiers again. Read it twice about 15 years ago and just fancied reading it again. A big spanning war time book. Ive read Vida too _ loved it.

Braided Lives. I must have read it 20 times. Read it first when I went off to uni and started my first relationship. Just like the character in the book. It is fab.

Vida good too.

I loved Braided Lives when I read it at University. I then tried WOTEOT & hated it. I must get Braided Lives out of the library & give it a go - I suspect it may be horribly dated now.

I loved WOET when I first read it in the 70s! And read and enjoyed many others by Marge Peircy, but suspect I would find her unreadable now.
