Are the C J Sansom Shardlake books easy to follow?

Glad you are enjoying it. I really like them but they are well written so are not necessarily an easy read, but still very enjoyable smile

Really good and once you read one they are addictive

They're great, I've read all of them now. Also I didn't read the first couple in order and it didn't matter too much.

I read a lot of historical fiction & I've read the whole series of these. I thought they were a great read & I really enjoyed them. They are very evocative of the period in which they are set & are very well written.

I'd say fairly easy really - I loved them. Why not give the first one a try (I thought it was the best)?

I've seen the first of these in our local charity shop. I thought it looked good, but I've always found historical fiction difficult to follow. So are they fairly easy to follow or not?
