I'm making myself a reading list Grin

What do you recommend vipers?

So far I've got monstrous regiment and unseen acidemicals. I've ordered Nanny Oggs almanac but it hasn't arrived yet.

Start at the beginning and work your way through. They are all good! There is another thread somewhere giving recommendations though.

Start from book one and work through or do them based on main characters:
Granny W
Sam Vimes
Moist
UU
History Monks
Others

I've got Nanny Ogg's cookbook, many a tasty giggle in it.
I'd do the witches books
The City Watch books
The Death books
Then read the rest as and when. Living in Sussex, I have a very soft spot for Tiffany Aching too.

Oh all the Watch/Sam Vimes ones in order would be my choice.
I really envy you if you haven't read them yet - treat in store Smile

Wow thanks everybody.

I read a few pages of unseen academicals earlier during naptime. I was so annoyed that I had to put it down to go to a family party.

Its ds bedtime shortly and I can't wait to start reading again.

I started with Reaper Man, which I bought at a service station on a long coach trip, laughed my way through for the rest of the journey and was then asked at the end, by three other passengers, what the book was as I'd clearly enjoyed it and they wanted to buy a copy themselves.

It does help to read them in order, but I found his first two or three to be not quite so natural as the ones that followed.

In no particular order my favourites are:

Guards, Guards
Men at Arms

Wyrd Sisters
Witches Abroad

Moving Pictures
Small Gods
Reaper Man

I was going to list my favourite characters but it would probably be easier to name the ones I don't like. I love the Patrician and Sam Vimes, The Arch-Chancellor and the Bursar and any mention of Mrs Cake, just to mention a few. Grin
