I enjoy Alexamder Mcall Smiths The no 1 Ladies Detective Agency series for this kind of read. They are nice gentle books and easy to read.

When I feel a bit low I like to read Katie Fforde's novels. Comforting, and guaranteed to cheer me up again
I'm feeling a tiny bit low and am looking for a warm cuddle of a book.Ideally not very long and not focusing on mother-daughter-sister relationships!Having said that I loved I Capture the Castle. Maybe something on those lines?
