Sheila Flanaghan and Patricia Scanlan are other Irish writers in a similar vein to Marian Keyes, also Cathy Kelly. They are all easy 'holiday read' type authors that are easy to pick up and put down, IMO.

Milly Johnson for UK based chicklit. Love her stuff.
Erin Kaye is another good Irish one.

Jojo Moyes and Jenny Colgan would be my suggestions

For Milly Johnson, I'd start with The Yorkshire Pudding Club or A Spring Affair or The Birds and the Bees. But they're all good.

Fiona Walker. Kiss Chase, French Relations, Well Groomed, Snap Happy and Between Males are the best but she has done lots.

Milly Johnston
Fiona Walker
Adele Parks.

Best suggested so far.

I'd add Jill Mansell

Fiona Walkers books are very racy!

Sarah Mason is not very well known but excellent.

I love Lisa Jewell and have re-read so many if her books.

Not strictly "chic" lit but I enjoy Mike Gayles books.

Josie Lloyd and Emlyn Rees write together and give the male and female side of the story.

NotAQueef - First Last Kiss was set where I live. It was funny being able to picture the places where various scenes took place.

We seem to have similar tastes in books so I'll have to check out the others you have mentioned.

I second the recommendation for Dorothy Koomson - I've read every book she has written. Always brilliant.
