(6 Posts)Anyone read this?
I've just finished it, and can't stop thinking about the level of poverty that these poor children lived in. And the parents!
I've googled a bit and seems it is a memoir not fiction.
Shocked
I've not long read it. I really enjoyed it. Shocking, wasn't it.
I read it years ago and I can still remember it vividly because it shocked me so much.
I really like this one too, its awhile since i read it but its just as good as all the reviews. I have the follow up one, cannot remember the name something about horse's i got it on Tuebl.com for my Kindle.
I loved this, read it a couple of months ago and it's still vivid in my memory...what stuck out for me was her underlying humour and lack of self pity. I don't do misery memoirs, this was so matter of fact. Must get her other one actually, I think it's about her grandmother?
I read the glass castle a few years ago. I saw an interview with the author (think it was with Richard Madley). Just had to read it, passed it on to some of my friends, seems that those who have read it really like it, even if the type of books is normally not their bag. Sadly her other book is not on kindle, which is a shame.
