QI book was great to read few pages at a time on the evenings when I wasn't able to concentrate on a plot of a novel:)

Wow, thank you! I've been wanting to read Capital for ages but couldn't justify spending the normal price as it has such mixed reviews. Winter in Madrid is also fantastic.

Oh good, just got Winter in Madrid and Life of Pi to read agin. So many others seem to just be trashy crime.

I have just brought 5 - only ÂŁ1 but not helping to reduce the size of my to read (virtual) pile.

Thanks very much! I just got Capital and Thursdays in the Park, the latter which I was unlikely to pay full price for.

Blood sweat and tea currently free.

I read this from the library ages ago, based on a paramedics blog. A fab read if you like that sort of thing I do

Thank you. Have added Blood Sweat and Tea to my kindle, looks interesting. (Like my To-Read pile isn't big enough!)

Oops, laptop went buts and posted too soon.

Meant to say I'm reading a much bigger variety of things due to these free / very cheap kindle books, I'm going for things I'd never have bothered with otherwise. Yes, I am a massive cheapskate! :)

100-year old man is great too.

I've read Safe House and it was quite good.

The 1227 Facts was interesting and funny, worth dipping in and out of.

I liked Bright Young Things as well, Scarlett Thomas is one of my favourite authors and although this one was a little bit more predictable than some of her others, I still liked it.

I've already bought 100 Year Old Man, Thursdays in the Park and Lewis Man because of this offer, but haven't read them yet. I wouldn't have paid full price for the first two, but like Mrs Pennyapple said, I'm reading a greater variety of things now that I wouldn't have read before, not unless they turned up in the charity shop anyway.

As the 20p books are still going, Dark Winter was pretty good.

Seems like the 20p kindle books are no longer! I guess I shouldn't be surprised as they have been on offer for a few months now...still was good while it lasted Smile

I'm hoping they may launch a new batch!! They've done it before, taken them off and then done a whole load of new ones a bit later.... keep all our eyes peeled and come back and post if you spot them!

I read on the Amazon kindle discussion thread that the 20p kindle book deal has come to an end because Sony have stopped their 20p books.

Amazon was merely matching the price of the books on the Sony website. Because Sony appears to have scrapped their 20p book deal, Amazon followed suit.

I don't know whether 20p book deals will ever be reintroduced. Hope so, because I bought quite a lot of them.
