I've just bought Life of Pi as it was 20p on kindle. I'm not sure I'll like t though.

Is it any good? everyone is raving about it

It's good Bloomin but for 20p who cares? As long as it entertains you it's worth it.

I'm reading trashy books at the moment, When I Fall In Love - Miranda Dickinson. Have read a lot of Catherine Alliot lately too.

I'm half way through Miranda Hart's Is It Just Me? Very funny, loving it. Next is The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey.

Mockingjay, the third book in the Hunger Games series. I thought it was all a load of teenage crap until I actually started the first book, then found I couldn't put it down. I've read the first two and half of the third one in just under 2 weeks. Excellent reading if you like that sort of thing.

I think I'll re-read LOTR this month now you've mentioned it - love it.

I'm currently reading 'Android Kerenina' and prior to that I read an excellent book called, 'Barrow's Boys' about exploration in the first half of the 19th century.

My first post on this topic Smile.

I have just finished The Woman Who Went To Bed For A Year. It was very good and for once, the ending wasn't a let down.

I plan to read Seizures by Kathy Reichs next.

Life: An Exploded Diagram - I've only just started so can't tell you very much about it but reads well so far (although not nearly as oddly as it name suggests).

I am reading To Kill a Mockingbird. Read it as a teenager many years ago but now dd is doing it for GCSE English and asked me so many questions I decided to reread as I was a bit vague on the detail.
I am loving it, far more than I did on first reading.

After this I have The Leftovers by Tom Perrotta and Phil Redmond's autobiography which I got for Christmas.

Dominion by C J Sansom- enjoying it so far but not as much as the Shardlake books.

Next- The Dinner by Hermann Koch after reading a recommendation on here and getting it for 20p in the kindle sale! Grin

Joyful also can't wait for the final instalment in The Wheel of Time!

The very long Serrano series by Elizabeth Moon. I haven't read anything apart from Elizabeth Moon's books for several months now, I love her writing so much. Strong stories, even stronger female characters - fabulous! That being said, I did take a break to read the Hunger Games books (awesome!) and Riven's DH's books, Prince of Thorns and King of Thorns (even more awesome!!!).

Discovered the same when I pre ordered it on kindle although I think I can hang on so as not to break my wrist with huge hardback while reading in bed!

I reckon the series improved when BS took over after a few dodgy books in the middle. Can't wait to see how it all works out!

By the way if you're looking for something new to take up another 20 years Wink Brandon sanderson's new one The Way of Kings has potential and is supposed to last 10 books!

I'm reading Gone For Good by Harlan Coben. My first Harlan Coben book. Is very good.
I've been reading a series that's knd of on par with twilight. Is aimed at teenagers, but is such easy reading and I've really enjoyed them. I have the final installment to read which is on my phone (kindle app) ready and waiting.
They are by Lauren Kate and the first boo is called Fallen. Would recommend if you're looking for a bit of light reading that's easy and doesn't use up any brain power Wink

Nine Tailors - Dorothy L Sayers. Started it yesterday morning and had forgotten that the first chapter was set on New Year's Eve, so it was a really cosy read. I love vintage crime novels, have also been reading Ngaio Marsh.

Ysabel, by guy gavriel kay. I loved the fionavar tapestry books when I was a teenager, so I thought I would give it a go.

Not sure about it though, I am more than halfway, so will probably finish it. Hmm

Pure is lined up, as are the first two Tiffany aching Pratchetts. (if that even makes sense)

I really should be reading about the English civil war, but it is soo boring.
