I loved this book. Best one I've read this year. Quite amusing in places. grin

D'oh, I paid full price! I'm halfway through and enjoying it. The style is original, and I quite like the history bits. Definitely worth 20p.

Thanks OP, bought and added to my massive list of books to read.

I was going to Bertie, but decided to wait till after Christmas incase I get any kindle vouchers.

It started off well but is dragging in the middle. It gets rather history/politics heavy which I'm not really interested.

For 20p it's probably worth it smile I spent £7! shock

If you enjoyed the film Forrest Gump you should enjoy it. I found it a real drag and have read half of it. Don't intend to finish it but it could make a mildly amusing film.

Thanks, this has been highly recommended, what a bargain.

Best book I've read in years

I loved the way it was written and found it amusing. However, could have done with being about 200 pages shorter!

I read it as part of a book club and most people didn't really like though.

Is now available on Amazon Kindle for 20p. Hope it's good - hate to waste 20p grin
