please tell me something great to read next...

Have recently read Before I go to Sleep (enjoyed it), before that I enjoyed One Day, The Help, Room. I don't really mind what the story is about as long as the book is intelligently written.

Anyone got any ideas what I should read next?

I enjoyed The Tiger's Wife very much. For a big ole chunk of reading Wolf Hall is great (my only criticism - everyone's called Thomas! Vair confusing!)

Property (Valerie Martin) reminded me of The Help (it is about slavery in the deep south in the 1860s).

Have you read We Need to Talk About kevin? Great, disturbing read (hope the film lives up to the book.
