I read it years ago and it was fantastic. Like a big soap opera. Really good characters, excellent story, brilliant writing. One of my top books ever

This is without question my favourite book. Very narrative. Lots of short chapters so you are constantly driven on. I reach a different conclusion about the ending every time.

However, it does cause you to abandon everytihng and everyone while you read it.

I loved reading it - it inspired us to cook wonderful Indian food yummmmmmm!

Its one of those books that stays with you I think. Enjoy it!

Read it years ago, took some reading but was worth it in the end! Spent two weeks lying by a pool, in the sunshine reading it. Lovely.
