Has anyone read "The Waterless Flood" by Margaret Atwood?

Do you mean The Year of the Flood? I recently read this but it is nowehere near as good as its predecessor Oryx And Crake, which is an absolute must-read!! Seriously, read it...Red it now. Possibly my favourite book ever (after Fear And Loathing in las vegas)
I have most of Atwoods books, I find her writing style utterly fantastic.

I read Orynx and Crake when it came out and found it fascinating but bewildering. So I was delighted that Year of the Flood sorted out many of the mysterious and confusing bits for me.

I have read "Oryx and Crake" too TwoPeasOnePod and loved it too. I think I have read virtually all of Margaret Atwood's novels, if not all of them, and "The Handmaid's Tale" remains my favourite.

It took me a long time to get into this one but I loved it once I got going and it has left a lot of things spinning in my mind.

I think I will have to reread "Oryx and Crake" now as I can't really remember exactly how they connect.

I preferred Oryx & Crake, but really enjoy her writing so happy to read pretty much anything she's written. Love her wit. Favourite has to be Handmaid's Tale tho, read it as a teenager and it has always stayed with me.

Rhinestone I have read "Handmaid" so often and still find it totally absorbing. I first read it at 18 or so and last read it a couple of months ago at 38/39. As I grow (slightly) older, have become a mother, etc I see different things and understand different aspects of the novel.

How did everyone get on with the hymns in the novel? Has anyone heard the cd that was made to go with them?

Does anyone know what Atwood's own religious views are?

I loved Oryx much more than Flood, but I need to read it again because it was a long time ago. Handmaids Tale - AMAZING book.

I have read most Margaret Attwood, but hated both Oryx and Crake and Year of the flood. Aspies are genocidal maniacs? Nooooo! I felt it was bandwagon jumping and lazy. Sorry.
Love The Handmaid's Tale, The Robber Bride, etc.
