Everything I read lately, is good, but does not knock my socks off. I really want to read a book that I just hate to put down. Help me out of my winter funk. I read almost everything as long as it is a good read, from classics to chick lit.

Bel Canto: Ann Patchett (beautifuly written but not gripping in plot driven way)

Love in Idleness: Amanda Craig (seems a bit chicky at first but is very well written and clever).

A week in December: Sebastian Faulks

The Jackson Brodie books by Kate Atkinson (can't remember the name of the first one but it's on her website)
