Is there anything in particular you wanted to know? I don't have any experience of SW, but am really enjoying WW right now. There are some nice zero point foods (including some chicken, unsmoked fish and most fruit/veg) which means I can have low point meals and save my points for little treats (G&T last night for example). I'm finding it easy to follow and lost a stone in my first two months. The app that you get if you pay monthly includes some meditation by Headspace and some Exercise thing too. This week they are introducing a loyalty scheme which rewards you if you track meals and exercise and also if you weigh in each week. It looks good so far.

If you do decide to join and wanted to use my link then you get an extra month free (I do too). Here's the link in case you do -

Hi. Thanks for your reply and link. I did ww ages ago and sw more recently both worked. It was a lot of point counting and measuring things when i did ww. Sw wasnt so much measuring. Is it still like that?

It is still pointing and tracking, but with the app it's really easy because your frequently used foods appear as suggestions, so when I track breakfast tomorrow it will show me the last few things I tracked at breakfast time and I can just press them to track. Also the app has a barcode scanner so easy to track items with a barcode and check how many points are in things are you are shopping.

One thing I would say that makes a huge difference for me is going to the weekly meeting. We have a really friendly group and I really enjoy going there each week and it helps my motivation.

Here's a photo of my tracker today to give you an idea. I don't bother tracking zero point stuff so I have also had banana and grapes and black coffee. I've still got some points left for today - you can carry over up to 4 points each day .

Do you still get 49 free points to use as u like throughout the week? I have 2 small children so might have to one or both to a meeting. Are they child friendly? It certainly wint be interesting to a 3 year old lol

You get weekly points, they vary depending on how much you have to lose and other stuff like if you are breastfeeding etc. I get 35, but try not to use them so that if I go out or fancy a treat then they are there.

I'm pretty sure you can take children along. There aren't any at the meeting I go to at the moment, but I'm pretty sure that I've seen children at previous ones I've been to.

I have never got on with SW but I think that the current WW is best ever. I have probably done WW about 4 times in 20 years and this is definitely the easiest version.
Less weighing and adding points up than previously, because there are many more foods that are zero points that you can eat and not count e.g. chicken breast, fish, shell fish, fruit, veg.
So I find that I can cook a really filling meal for the whole family and only have to add points from the rice / potatoes / pasta and everything else is often free or just one or two ingredients that need pointing.
I have lost 8 lbs since new year, 5% of my body weight.
Good luck

Sounds like a good decision if you've found a group that's on the same time as preschool. I'm pretty sure that it's the same with WW and SW that it's much easier if you can get to a group than trying to do it by yourself.

I know what you mean about it being tricky with 2 small kids . . . . I wish I could say things get easier as they get older Grin - I have two teens - both meant to be revising for exams at the moment. I seem to spend all my time nagging them!

Good luck with the weight loss.
