New Year, fit me...

I had a baby last January. Gained a small about of weight when pregnant but BF left me a stone heavier than I wanted to be. Lost the stone in the summer with WW. Went back to work to find my maternity cover had completely messed up the teaching of GCSE, my lovely year group had turned into hormonal Year 10s, in the midst of sorting a school show and also trying to teach normal lessons - it has generally been a nightmare. I've regained 8lb. Blush I've started WW again today to try and lose the 8lb plus another 7lb. I'm not massively overweight but my size 12s are tight and I want to feel confident. I'm going to start running three times per week too to help me deal with the work stress and try and improve my mental health.
My first target is to lose 8lb by the 10th of Feb for my friends wedding. I'm looking for anyone who wants to chat and generally try and motivate each other. Can't use connect as half my family have joined online to try and lose the Christmas weight!

Hi OP.

You and I sound like we have similar stats. My size 12s are snug too!

I've joined WW this morning to kickstart my motivation into touch. Need to lose a good stone. I've got a holiday in July to look forward to plus I'm a bridesmaid (if you can be a bridesmaid at 45!) I'm September and I'm determined to feel nice and slim.

I've signed up for meetings and online although I'm a bit scared of weigh in. I reckon I've lost half a stone in the last couple of months purely through ditching the scales and also ditching eating breakfast! A bit controversial not eating breakfast but it worked for me although very slowly.

Have you done WW before? I've tried it before but struggled with remembering to track everything. Hopefully this new flex programme will work for me this time. Smile

Yeah six months ago and it worked. The first week is tough because I'm a bit of a sugar addict do was detoxing. Once I did though it was easier.

Hello I’m going back on ww too as soon as term starts. I’m a teacher too, in a boarding school with quite a high profile role that throws up problems unpredictably so I haven’t been able to set aside regular ‘me time’ for exercise or even going to the gp etc but I hope to manage my time better and need to be more disciplined about it.
I am 44, 5’8 and a size 14 in shops with generous sizing...
It’s not been an easy few years for my family either and I have taken refuge in food (and drink), but Im desperate to get back in control of my body and regain my confidence.
I may be a bit crap at writing anything here so I hope it’s ok for me to mainly lurk and simply wish everyone the best of luck.

Hello ladies,

I hope you don't mind me hijacking the thread.

I'm 44 and a size 12, I've 4 children and work 4 days a week as a Snr Social Worker.

Only yesterday I purchased a new pair of jeans from Next and found they were a little on the snug side.

I previously joined WW on 2 separate occasions and not only successfully lost weight but to date kept it off!

I have been toying with the idea of rejoining one last time to rid myself of 1.5 stone and would love to be part of a group of ladies similar in size, age and goals who can act as my mentor, motivator and cheer leader! Smile

Hijack away! Day 1 for me today. I've not been too bad the last few days but I haven't tracked. I'm hoping to start feeling the effects quickly!

I’ve just bought The 4 Pillar Plan by Rangan Chatterjee (he’s on tv I think but I haven’t seen him). It’s nothing new, but I like having all the health stuff I know I should be doing laid out in one book as a single plan. The pillars are Relax, Sleep, Move and Eat. I’ve also bought a bright red ring binder and some a4 to do checklists so I can chart my progress with the 4 pillars every day.
When I restart properly next week I’m going to use the ww app in conjunction with this as a sort of journal. Here’s to a physically and mentally healthy 2018!

Hi everyone

How's everyone getting on?

My first day on plan today. I've had a day at home today but been busy cleaning the house and taking the Xmas decorations down. I've decided I need to drink a lot more water so I have been filling and refilling a drinks bottle with slices of lemon and it's kept me full. I've tracked everything and kept to budget without touching the weeklies.

I've had

Lunch - tuna with mayo on Warburtons thin. Bag of Pom bears.
Cup of miso soup
Dinner - chilli con carne. No rice but sprinkled a small amount of grated cheese instead.
Snack - 2 finger dark kit Kat

I'm still going to skip breakfast as I'm never really hungry in the mornings and as I said before, I do lose a small amount of weight by doing this, I've not got any fruit in as I've not had chance to go shopping yet but will get to the shops tomorrow.

How's everyone else done today?

Well done@guestofclanofmackenzie.

Today I've been in London and not followed plan at all! In actual fact I've yet to sign up online. I did acheive an hour's gym session but as my husband keeps on informing me you can't out train a bad diet!

I need to plan, plan and plan!

I'd love to join you. My size 12s are tight and I aim to be a 10 in the next few weeks. Because I've gained weight I struggle to keep up with my running group so I avoid going which puts me in a catch 22 in that the less I run the more likely I am to stay overweight but because of my weight I can't keep up so don't go!

First proper day tracking and it has been easy to be honest. The shorn is really filling me up so I haven't snacked at all. I've cleaned the house today ready for going back to work Thursday. Tomorrow might I'm going to attempt a run. I'm skipping the oats in tomorrow's breakfast too. I didnt enjoy it as much as yoghurt on its own.

New Year, fit me...

Well, after half heartedly eating a bit better at the beginning of the week a d then tracking properly from Tuesday onwards I've lost 3lb! I've been hungry at points though. I'm still getting to grips with using points for sensible choices. I didn't use my weeklies this week as id had a poor start to the week but I'm going to need them next week!

Well done lokibear!

I'm finding I'm easing myself into it nicely. I actually joined a week ago but haven't been to a meeting yet as my meetings are on Friday mornings and I had a funeral on friday just gone so had to miss it. I'm so scared of the scales though as I know how much my weight fluctuates despite my best efforts and also despite my clothes getting looser. I'm wondering whether to tell them to weigh me but not to tell me what it is? Just write it in my book and then just tell me each week whether there is a loss.

Has anyone discovered the Facebook group page? It's fantastic for support and guidance and there are tonnes of knowledgeable people on there. It's called UK Weightwatchers Smartpoints/ flex page. Or thereabouts, if you search under any of those words it should come up.

I had a great day yesterday. I bought a couple of new workout DVDs from Amazon. The new Davina one and Charlotte Crosbys 3 minute belly blitz. I am a member of a gym but I know the gym will be heaving first week of January so I'm steering clear for a week or so. But OMG I'm aching like hell after doing half of Charlottes DVD! I then took the dog for a nice long walk and tracked zero or low point foods all day. Then as Saturday night is takeaway night in our house, I shared a special egg foo yung and special chow mien from the takeaway with DH. I had a third of each dish. I have no idea how to work out the points for these as neither of these dishes are in the database. Oh well, there's nothing I can do now.

Hopefully I can claw things back today.
