First off, I know there's a dedicated area in big/slim/whatever but I'm after traffic as it's a bit quiet in the WW section. Second, I know that 5:2 and low carb are popular on MN but neither of them suit me whereas I've lost weight with WW in the fairly distant past and regained due to unrelated issues which I'll leave out for now. I'm sure there are plenty of opinions on why it doesn't work but for me it does.

Just wondering if anyone is thinking of signing up and would like a support thread over on the WW board. I have at least 4st to lose and would appreciate it. I can't go to meetings as they don't fit in with work, so will be doing it online (half price on the website at the moment and Top Cashback give a few quid back). Anyone in?

Meeee

I signed up online yesterday but the app won't download onto my VERY old phone so i'm just using my laptop for tracking

Bit disappointed that the chat function is only available via the app -last time I successfully lost on ww the chat was a huge motivator

I need to get back on track with ww. I gave up when I quit being a leader in April. My excuse was an international move and a 3mo along with a very trying 3yo but not really an excuse 9 months on!

I'm not joining a meeting as not got the money for it where I am (a lot more expensive and it's that or the gym/swim membership for the gym that I'll actually use daily as it's across the road) but I still have the books. DH and I are doing it at home together.

Right then-Let's do this!

I'm starting tomorrow afresh. I've had a takeaway and wine tonight and I'll be strapping on the fitness tracker and redone loading the WW app for tomorrow morning. I really need to get this weight off. I weigh 12st 8lb and my target is 10st. We can do this!

I signed up to ww last week. I have lost three stone and kept it off when I did sw for a bit a few years ago but found it didn't really help with my major problem, portions. Smart points seems like a much better fit for me.

I spent a long time planning out three months worth of menu's and shopping lists (and pointed and saved the recipes in the app thingy)

I WILL not be fat this time next year. I'm doing it for me but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't fantasizing about how I'm going to wriggle my slim arse at my nightmare relatives that thought it would be ok to comment on my weight this year.

I've been back at ww since the end of October. I've lost 19.5 lbs!! Something has clicked with the smart-points this time. Loving it! (Although I've been a bit off-plan this holiday!)
Good luck to everyone else. :)

I'm in! I have lost weight successfully with WW in the past, re-joined in October to shed baby weight but have been rubbish about tracking - I want to get back on track tomorrow. Currently breastfeeding 7 month old DS (we have just started baby led weaning, so still doing multiple feeds every day... and night). I have to go back to work in two months and I can't afford to replace my work wardrobe - I need to get into my pre-pregnancy clothes!

PS: Currently 11 1/2 stone. Immediate goal is 10 stone. Dream weight is 9 stone. I was about 9 1/2 stone pre-pregnancy (18 months ago).

I'm starting when I get home on the 4th, really need to lose 4 stone to start with. Piled on weight since having my baby and breastfeeding every hour of the day. Been sustained by biscuits and chocolate for 6 months.

I'm in! I signed up to online a few days ago to get my head round smart points! Last time it was propoints- smart points for sweet things seems killer...
Anyway I turn 30 this year and I'm sick of hating pictures of me with my kids! I've got at least 7 stone to lose Xmas Blush and I'm also breastfeeding my 8 month old.

Can i join the thread too? I have just signed up to the half price weight watchers subscription online this morning. Weighed myself this morning and I have 2 and half stones to lose, which is not quite as bad as I thought it would be. I am also a bit disappointed by the website, there is not much info, I had to use the chat to an expert facility to figure out what to do so I sort of understand it now.

Hi. Sorry I thought this thread had just bombed and disappeared.

I signed up yesterday so that I can start getting my head around it before starting tomorrow (have a massive hangover today but have chucked the leftover booze). I lost my baby weight after DC1 but started slacking and putting it back on. Had DC2 then my mum got ill and I moved jobs to be near her. Job was awful and I ended up depressed, drinking half a bottle of wine most evenings and eating too much crap. I'm as heavy as I was when 40 weeks pregnancy with DC2 Blush Sad My mum died last year and I just haven't felt like doing much about it but 2016 is dead and gone and I want to sort myself out (not just in weight loss terms but that's a biggie).

I'm already exercising a bit - went to the gym yesterday in fact. These days it seems to be full of the selfie generation smirking at the 'fat mess' types like me (horrible term but I've heard it often). But fuck 'em. I'm as entitled to be there as they are and I'll just get on with it.

I also have an old Fitbit Surge but it leaves a big rash on my wrist if I wear it for any length of time so might just have to limit it to HR monitoring while I exercise.

Anyway. Enough rambling. Some inspiring results on here already, well done kinky and doodle.

Saved a ton of points last night -the bottle of wine I'd bought for new year was absolutely revolting!

I seem to have a lot of points to use each day because i'm very fat and i'm a bit worried about using the weekly allowance of points as well as the daily

Do I have to use them or is it a case that I will regret not using them when my daily points drop as I lose weight?
