XLS Medical fat binder(274 Posts)
Just read article in DM about this (i think) new slimming pills. Apparently Mica Paris was using them and she lost two dress sizes in two months.
I am currently 110kg and i used to be 68-75kg pre pregnancy weight (youngest dd is 7 and a half) and since then weight was just piling up until it reached 110kg.
I have to lose weight,i have to. I tried some other things in the past and low gi diet helped me to shed 10kg in 8weeks,but i lost motivation and got back to same thing.
Can anyone give me some good kick advice, how to motivate myself, how to find that inner strength to do things in a right way.
My BIG downfall is eating late ,especially when i come from work (9pm) and over the years it became a habit!!!!!!!!
Are this pills ok and did anyone used them???
Thank you for your time!!!!!
I saw it and it sounds okay and Boots a respectable place- wouldnt buy anythign dodgy off the internet but I would happily pay £60 a month for three months to drop two dress sizes - very unhappy how my weight has crept up the last couple of years when nothing about my diet etc has changed
tried to buy some online yesterday but not in stock and now the website is shut down for several days!
Will have to trek to the shop....
But youcan easily drop 2 dress sizes in 3 months by yourself without paying more than a hundred quid for the priveledge. I don't understand why people willingly pay for this shit. If there was a real magic pill that made you lose weight, noone would be fat. Save your money and get on a proper healthy eating plan. Expecting a pill to do it for you is crazy.
Jeez what an arrogant thing to say! Why do you assume everyone who wants to be slimmer does not eat healthily? You know absolutely nothing about me or my circumstances, nor I presume the OPs, so hardly surprising you dont understand.
FWIW I have four DC and a DH who are slender, active and extremely healthy - its nothing to do with not having a "proper" healthy eating plan.
I'm not being arrogant to point out you're buying into the marketing. Do you, honestly, believe that it's as simple as handing over your cash and taking a pill for 3 months? Because that's what they want you to believe. I'm just saying there are better (free) ways. And yes, I've been vastly overweight following both dc. I lost it both times without a little pill.
Ah, you think I am gullible? I am not neither crazy nor "buying into the marketing".
I've been a research scientist for nearly 30 years - things are never simple. I read the clinical literature. I weigh up the evidence and reach my own conclusions as to what is best for me and my circumstances and what risk or cost I am prepared to accept.
It's my money, my body and my life - don't be such a judgy-pants!
Hi all and thank you for your replies. I was so busy ,didn't manage to come back yesterday.
The thing is,i do know i could loose weight without "MAGIC" pill and i am aware that if it is working, everyone would be slim.
The thing is i am literally desperate to find inspiration,i NEVER used pills, cause i know most of them are just mind game but this was ,i guess wrong way to start believe that something might actually help me.Article didn't sound dodgy and i guess i just wanted to hear what other people think...
I've never tried dieting pills either and the description does sound like it would make all my dreams come true!
This year id really like to loose 2 stone preferably as quick as possible, I think that even if these pills aren't a 'miracle cure' if we are paying £64.99 a month for them surely they will at the very least help us keep on the right track with healthy eating and exercise as we won't be looking to waste our money and binge eat whilst on them! And if they work it's a win win situation!!! I think everyone is capable of loosing weight without them but sometimes we need a helping hand and a kick up the arse!
Some people, like me atm, don't have much needed motivation to start up exercise ....
or any kind of a diet plan.I need exactly what you just said Vick85---GOOD KICK......
Ooh, I was just gonna start a thread about these. Is anyone else using them? I think I'm going to give these a try. In fact im away to order some right now.
Couldn't agree more OP and Vick85 Horses for courses. Lots of people have to spend money to help them loose weight. Even if it is only a placebo it doesn't matter if it works.
Got DD1 onboard to help me - she brought me some back from Boots and has been watching me like a hawk, and babysitting so I can go for walks. After only one week, my trousers are falling down as bloated stomach has gone!
Ooh good luck...I had seen these...let us know how you get on...I think I may give them a whirl in a couple of weeks :O)
will do, they don't come till friday grrr I want them now lol
I have been on these for 3 days along side weightwatchers. I lost 3.5lbs in 5 days which i am amazed as i had a bit of a bad week with snacking and pizza!
I have had no side affects and my cravings are not so bad and so is my appetite is pretty much curbed.
so the 3.5lb is fantastic news. I will let you know how weigh in is on saturday.
We all sometimes need something to help motivate us and people are right there are no magic pills but if they help when i am working hard sticking to my diet and normally only acheiving 1-1.5lb so 3.5lb is a big motivator to keep going.
Good Luck to you all
I am toying with the idea of buying some of these - how is everyone doing?
Lucous lottie - how are you getting on with these? Am tempted. Are they working??? Any side effects?
I normally use Alli how ever I went to work and forgot my pills at home. I popped into boots at waterloo station and they had no Alli so one of the staff recommended XLS Medical. I just bought it because I knew I was going to eat some fatty foods that day.
Anyway, I took two pills immediately with my coffee and busciuts and hoped for the best. For the 6 hours I spent at the office, I continually felt that I had just eaten 40 mins ago. I still wasnt feeling that hungry when I got home so I had a cup of soup just to make sure I had something in my stomach.
What I noticed was that all the while, I still had a lot of energy.
With Alli, my food choices were limited as I had to check the fat content and I was always hungry however with XLS Medical, I constantly felt full at times, could eat anything I wanted (When I felt hungry) and had lots of enery.
Anyway I have so far lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks
Is anyone getting on well with these? Stories? Thanks
Sorry for not getting back to you SWStressed.... Well XLS have really worked for me. I to did weight watchers and my weightloss just stopped! No matter how much i stuck to my points and upped my exercise it was just not budging!
I have lost about 20lb on XLS so far..... I had stopped taking them for a few months but I have started back on them this week. I have created a blog that I will post the link on to here once its live so that you can follow what I have eaten and my weight loss.
Hope you are all doing well.
Good luck with the weight loss and defo do not feel bad about taking a little assistance in motivation and weight loss as I know from first hand how dishearting it is to slog you backside off, diet and still only lose 0.5lb!! I have 4 stone to go to reach my ideal weight of 10st 7lb..... so its not even a case i am skinny and my body thinks i shouldn't be losing it.
So hang on in there and go for it. xx
hi i have started these tablets yesterday, as i had just seen them in boots they have def made me less hungry. I am wanting to lose 2 stone that i could not shift no matter what id done. I will let use know how it go's !!! Anyone got any good stories on this slimming tablet.
This is being quite heavily advertised at the moment. Are there any more success stories? I am trying (quite) hard to lose weight and any extra help would be great.
I bought these and have been taking them now for 5 days. What I am finding is that I do not feel hungry. I am amazed at how not hungry I feel! Quite an odd sensation as I am definately a snacker and I am just not doing it as there is no desire there. I am very pleased. Tried to weigh myself this morning but my scales have broken. I'm sure I won't have had any dramatic loss but, for the moment, these tablets have broken my cycle of just eating because I'm bored or whatever.
The only drawback for me is wind. Lots and lots of
smelly wind. So apart from the wind I really am pleased I bought them.
The problem is they're just an appetite suppressant, which means you achieve weight loss by effectively restricting your calorie intake. The minute you come off the pills if you return to eating your previous volume and type of foods because your appetite increases again then all the weight will go straight back on. They only have a hope in hell of working long term if you make a concerted effort to retrain your thought processes about food in the meantime.
Won't you have got used, though, to smaller portions in the meantime? And if you are not so tempted to snack, might you get out of the habit? Problem is of course, many of us snack through boredom, don't we? How many of us actually feel hunger nowadays?
