Weight loss chat

need 2 lose as much as poss in 8 1/2 weeks

iv been saying for past god knows how many weeks " rite im going on my hols in X amount of weeks, if i lose X amount of weight per week i will be X amount for my hols "
unfortunately it hasnt worked out like this !
did manage to lose 1/2 stone in 3-4 weeks, then as time went on, the weeks went by and it ended up 1/2 stone in about 8 weeks

so back on slimming world 2day went really well

have had

28g ready brek--- healthy b
skimmed milk --- healthy a

1 brown roll 6 sins
ham free
beetroot free
muller free

jacket potato free
beans free

curly wurly 5 sins

oh and i put sugar on my ready brek

have decided this is going to be my weight loss blog for next few weeks......
and i did 20ins of a coleen nolan dance dvd and drank numerous glasses of water/diet pepsi, hence me going to the toilet several times throughout today.....
please come and join me in my weight loss journey..... im 5'2

ideally id like to lose at least 1 stone in the 8 weeks, and be a comfortable size 14....

I will join you! I oddly enough have 8.5 weeks until my holiday too which must mean we are away the same weekend.

What is really scary is I am also 5ft 2, I weigh 12st 11lbs and am a size 16. Are you my conscious??

I want to loose a stone by this date too, possibly a little bit more, with a great deal of effort.

I cannot get out early enough for diet clubs and find, for me, calorie counting using low GI foods much easier so this is the way I will be trying to do it.

Lets go Em83.

I am slightly freaked out by the similarity of our current status' however.....

Hi em83, can i join please?

I am 5' 1' and would like to lose about 1 and a half stone in about the same time frame.

Not sticking with any 'plan' other than to eat a little more sensibly:

Breakfast organic porridge, made with water and no sugar/honey

Snack: 6 walnut halves- read somewhere that is daily dose of omega3

Lunch: Wholemeal roll, olive spread with ham and boiled egg. Fat free yoghurt and an apple and a banana.

Snack: 2 ginger biccies (fair trade ones, which once I'd eaten them realised they were v high in sugar and fat!

Dinner: left over quorn chilli with a bit too much sour cream (oops, not low fat...)

Treat: One large vodka and diet coke

cancelled my spinning class as couldn't be arsed though, so may have to try harder tomorrow.

I lost loads of weight a few (well all right ten years ago) but have pit all of it back on again.

We'll do it together and keep each other motivated enough to be slim by the time the spring properly gets here

i have joined that many weightloss groups on here and they just fade out, im determine to stick to this one....
especially coz im noticing how out of breath i get in the bedroom department
i feel like a fat slob

Em83 - to Devon with 2 other couples and kids for a long weekend.... you?

Funny freaky but still freaky. I have done this with another MNer, at one stage we decided we ran a double-life!

I have been off the gym (only started back in January) as went off to hard too soon and hurt my achillies. Got that right and now have a stinking cold. MUST go back next week.

im going to ibiza mith dp,our 3dcs and inlaws .....

definetly weird lol.

well im just deciding what to have to eat today... i should be a bit more organised and plan a week ahead but i would never stick to it

hoping to have

breakfast - 2 slices ww brown bread
flora light and jam

dinner - pasta with some kind of lowfat sauce

tea - steak with slimming world chips and mushrooms and salad

snacks will hopefully be fruit and muller lites

i will also have enough sins left for a curly wurly later

I just had starbucks living well crepe with ham and mushrooms as on the run working today, 147 calories well spent I think, it was yum. Got an alpen bar for snack today, will do soup for lunch then see how many calories I have left for dinner.

Have a stinking cold so that's not helping much as just want warm stodge! Good luck today, hope you get your curly wurly!!

how many cals are you having per day ?
tbh i stuck to a calorie counting diet after had dd1 was born, i managed to lose weight very quickly but was always starving!

thought everything in starbucks was laden with cals lol !

1200 tops which needs to include alcohol. I try to make sure everything i eat has a low GI so not so much hunger issues. It is the only item in starbucks below one million calories!!

I have 9 weeks (I think) til my holiday. Have lost 16lbs already in 5 weeks, now struggling to keep off the chocolate.

Bkfst: porridge with 1/2 skimmed milk 1/2 water.
Snack: Orange, Banana.

are u following any plan it particular?
how much are u wantinng to lose in 9 weeks then?

bbf i love starbucks but prefer pret a manger.....
ooooo all this talking about food is getting me hungry

No plan just watching everything.
Would like to weigh 2 stone less by holiday in May.
Now I have lost the biggest bit the loss has slowed down and will be lucky to lose 1lb a week, it is now that I find motivation hardest.
Went to first Bums Legs And Tums class last night. It might help. We will see.
Now off to fill face. Am having a chicken slad wrap, kiwi and apple.
Will catch up with you all later.

Have won my get-home-from-work battle two nights in a row now. Very smug.

Normally once I have left work and done the nursery run I come home, make my DD toast and me a coffee.... and toast... with LOTS of butter. Managed two nights on not doing this now as I left a low-cal snack next to the kettle before I left for work this morning and it definitely prompted better behaviour by me!

Now, wine is not allowed on a school night right?

nope dont think wine allowed lol, however if you have enough cals left you can surely have a little drinkypoos ! lol
goober 2 stones by may is very optimistic, and i have no doubt you will manage it judging by your progress up to now,,,

i have been a tad bit naughty today, 2 curly wurlys and 3 jaffas
couldnt resist......

I had a very boring tea. I'm not a vegetarian but family were having Ginsters cornish pasties so I just had the veg and a yogurt.

I had one slice of toast, half a can on beans and 3 bits of extra lean extra see through extra thin bacon. Was v nice. No booze, no dessert, feel rubbish with my cold so off to bed. DH drinking wine so need to get it out of my eyeline!

Em - 2 curlys! Lol, do you have a curly fixation? They are super yum. I was once told you have to be 80% good 80% of the time, me thinks you just used your 20% hee hee.

Well done goober, Cornish pasties are so very good.

The pasties did smell good, I wanted one, but deliberately only bought 4 (there are 5 of us.)
Tomorrow is DDs birthday, another challenge. She wants a gammon joint for tea with chips and fried eggs and there will be cake!

i love choc fudge cake lol

curlys are the lowest in sin value choccy wise on slimming world so i always have a couple to hand

no excercise for me either 2day.

ds and dd2 arent very well, so havent had time lol

I started well today,

Had porridge for brekkie

Then wholemeal roll, banana, apple for lunch.

Then all went tits up late afternoon as I got stressed at work, so had in very quick succession: kit kat, packet of crisps and a mini roll

came home and have had a small bowl of prawn green thai curry.

Also have bad PMT, so I usually eat anything that isn't nailed down!

It is so hard to start changing the good food/bad food mind set

Ooohh goober, fried eggs and chips.... too good. I could leave the cake, not got a sweet tooth but chips and egg !!

I know!
I am strong though. I will cook it but not eat it.
The cake I made myself at the weekend and froze, it is chocolate and vanilla. It smelt luuuuuuuuuuuush cooking.
Last night I went to my first Bums Legs and Tums class. Today I am stiff.

Youcantlabelme Get some snackajacks, SpecialK snacks, dried fruit for emergencies. Apricots are very good if you need a quick hit of sugar.
