Weightwatchers question .. are artichoke hearts the same as artichokes

They're just the middles of a full artichoke aren't they? So yes, I think so. I think Artichoke Hearts are what you can buy in brine, without all the outer bits round them.

Warning - I could be imagining all this!

No you are not imagining it MandM you can buy the hearts (which are exactly what you said) in brine in tins certainly at Sainsburys and Waitrose and Asda and probably all the others as well and yes they are free food (and yummy)

artichoke hearts are the miccle of jerusalem artichokes theres globe artichokes as well -never had these dont see them often

Lunachic - I think Jerusalem artichokes are the little knobbly shaped ones you peel and boil. Artichoke hearts are from the middle of the globe artichokes.
