When you do a diet do you care about what you eat or how thin you think you will get?

Yes, health comes first. If you eat a healthy diet you will lose weight.

Thanks, that looks a good website, I will have a proper look at it.

I suppose it is a matter of how quickly you want to lose the weight.

Try to lose it too fast and you'll slow your metabolism, your body will store fat and you will struggle like mad, good luck

I don't feel so bad now Custy. Thanks! I have so much to lose that I feel once I am down to nearer my goal I will then worry about health more again.

I disagree, picsesmoon - a healthy diet does not make you lose weight, only eating fewer calories than you need makes you lose weight. A healthy diet full of eg. avocado, oily fish, nuts etc. is not going to make you lose weight very easily. Yes, you will be healthier but that doesn't mean you will lose weight. You could intake way more calories on a healthy diet than you could on a silly, faddy diet.

Anyway, to answer OP, I do worry about my health but I have to admit that I just want to be thin Being healthy comes as an added bonus, for me.

Bodenbaby, thanks for your thoughts and they do make sense. I'm afraid I am the same as you at the moment that I just want to get the bulk of the weight off then worry about being healthy.
