Hi there Im thinking of starting WeightWatchers but a bit confused about point allowances. I will start the meetings but would like a heads up first.
Im aware that you are aloud 10 points extra a day on top of your usual allowance if you are exclusively bf on the Points plan. Is it an extra 10 points a week on the No Count Plan too?

Have a feeling the no count plan might be better as adding up points when sleep deprived seems like torture, although Ive always done the points before....

Thanks.

No count turned into Core for 2 years, then they dumped it!

I take it you ahvent done it for a while?

If it worked for you back then, do it, there are some still doing it on the ww forums here

ps, if you were to do it while breastfeeding there is no extra points for BF, but you can add excerise points

hiya I am dieting and bfeeding and just found some info on kellymom about how if you drop below 1500 calories per day then your body starts to use bodyfat to make up the breastmilk, however apparantly this is bad because body fat contains environmental pollutants which then end up in the milk.

info here

I'm using the weight loss resorces website because it calculates the percentages of fat etc you are eating and you can programme in the amount of weightloss per week. Good luck ive still got 2 stone 1lb to go.

I used the ww bf points diet after I had my ds (now nearly 21 months), I put on 3 1/2 stone whilst pregnant.

Worked brilliantly for me, lost all the weight by the time he was 9 months old.

Hi there, DD1 is 12 weeks old and I am struggling to drop the 10kg's I picked up. WW worked well before so went back to them. You get 10 extra points if excl bf-ing.Also (if prev gold member) you attend free till baby is 6 months old!I am prob not strict enough as I'm paranoid bout threatening milk supply with decreased calories.Defo s'thing to keep in mind.Hope this helps.

Maybe we should do online support thread? I just don' t have time to write down what I've eaten. And without/very little exercise I find it v diff to drop weight. Add in the bf-ing munchies...
