ww advice needed - why am i not losing weight?????

So I've been doing ww online for about 4 weeks - first week I lost 2 lbs but for my last 2 weigh-ins I have not lost an ounce! I haven't gained either but I'm sticking to it so well, doing loads of exercise, trying to eat my points etc

where am i going wrong? I'm getting fed up. Last week I made a huge effort to eat most of my points and do extra exercise, and was sure I could feel the weight sliding off - but no. Nothing. It's pretty un-motivating really.

I'm eating lots iof zero or 1 point soup, trying snack on healthy choices. I do save some points up for the weekend coz I like a couple of glasses of wine when watching x-factor! But I haven't gone over my points yet - I get 22.

Any advice? What am I doing wrong?

Can you double check your portion sizes? I always used to notice mine crept up again after a while.

Also are you doing loads of exercise? Maybe you are gaining some muscle.

I find it comes in peaks and valleys. You may be losing inches instead of pounds because of the exercise but keep going and the pounds will come off too.

i haven't really had to deal with portion sizes because I've mostly been eating soup or eating something pre-prepared so I know the points values already.

Do some folk just have a slow start then suddenly notice the weight comes off faster? Please say yes!

am doing a buggy fit class twice a week which is pretty hard going for both cardio and toning, I usually feel I've had a great work-out.

def think I'm losing inches as my clothes are feeling better on me and others have commented on it, but I want to see the scales going down!

Are you drinking alot of water? Most weight loss programs require it.

i've just started ww last week and going by my scales have only lost 4lbs which may sound alot to some people but i shifted 7lbs last time i did it!!Cant help but think that baby weight is much more stubborn than than pre-baby weight. Determined to stick with it though....feel much better for eating proper meals

I find that I lose more wieght on it when I eat more of the zero points food. So I'll eat my points but I'll also have a massive plate of veg (I love to do roast courgettes, onions, mushrooms, peppers, french beans, broccoli - altogether if I can - without any oil they roast perfectly nicely in a v hot oven, maybe some worcs sauce. Also eat lots of tomatoes, sugar snap peas etc etc - all zero points). I think that the body burns more calories or some such then.

Keep it up. Can you get to a meeting at least once, just to ask the leader?

look up wendy and weight watchers.

if you eat to little it can have the wrong effect.

don't think i'm eating too little - for dinner tonight i had prawn stir fry with noodles and lots of veg, couldn't finish it coz there was so much and apparently only 5 points!

am trying to drink more water - does herbal tea count?

will look into going to a local meeting.

if i eat lots of zero point meals then how should i eat all my points? I find that i can have loads of zero or 0.5 soup for luch and late in the afternoon, but that keeps my points for the day too low. so what kind of things should i eat to up the number?

sorry, i sound very thick, I'm not usually this dense!

I think your supposed to eat the low point stuff with the low GI values (they call them low energy dense foods) - pulses, oats, bran etc to get your points up.

Check the portion sizes and weights of wha tyou are eating - I made this mistake, I was under estimating the sizes.

WW does work - I've lost 45lb since March and found it quite easy (now down to only 1lb a wk or so, but thats fine by me).

Can you call someone at WW to discuss?

Are you making the soup yourself or is it out of a tin? I ask because the salt levels are high in tinned soups. You could be suffering from water retention. Up your water intake and check the salt levels in your ready meals.
As a guide the WW website says...
Foods that are High in salt have 1.5g of more of salt per 100g (or 0.6g sodium)
Foods that are Low in salt have 0.3g or less of salt per 100g (or 0.1g sodium)

Maybe you could try not having the soups for a week and see if it makes a difference on the scales. Swap the soups for scrambled eggs (Each egg is 1.5 points) on toast (WW bread is 0.5 points a slice) or beans (Small tin is 2.5 points) on toast or on a jacket potato (Medium potato is 4 points I think). Also, a dollop of light Philidelphia cheese mixed with mushrooms and chopped spring onion makes a lovely low point topping on a jacket potato.
