Disenchanteds 3 week challenge - Anyone want to join me?

Disenchanted3 · 26/09/2009 09:58

Or just encourage me?

I have a wedding to go to in 3 weeks, I know Im not going to loose alot, but If I can just loose a few Lbs it will probably make me feel better.

I just got a bike yesterday so will go riding everyday on that.

Plus I got myself a lovely new Mac coat in a 16, and Ive sent it back and re-ordered a 12! Positive thinking, (Im not trying to get to a 12 in 3 weeks! haha thats more of a long term goal!)

So anyone else want to loose a few lbs over the next 3 weeks?

Am tempted to put my weight now and see what it is on OCt 15th but am scared! lol

I need to lose one lb by wednesday as its my birthday and I'm just one pound away from my '5th' silver 7 at weight watchers and would be great to get it on my birthday and then be able to go for a pig out. Unfortuntely everytime I get on my scales my weight is either 1lb more than last week or just the same. Can see me starving myself on tuesday.

Okay, we are going away for half term and I need to get a grip of myself. Would like to lose half a stone by then.

I will eat sensibly and not snack in the evenings.
Might even try the gym again - haven't been for ages.

Personally the buying smaller clothes thing has never worked for me - I just feel like I've wasted my money!

If you post your weight I'll post mine!

hi again jigglypiggly no tips really, just know I need to be at my target weight of 10st 1 lb by January as I can't go to a weight watchers meeting when I'm back at work. So need to become a gold member by then so I can attend for free when I'm on holiday from work.

Currently 11st 10.5 lbs, so got 1st 10lbs to go, and 4 stone down since May. If I have a day off (usually every wednesday) then I always make sure I get back on it the next day as a way of damage limitation as its so easy to pile it back on even quicker.

Hopefully I will have lost my 1lb tomorrow and I have some gorgeous choc tartlets from Tesco finest for my Birthday which are over 500 kcals each Think next week will be a bad weigh in as I'm away for a night out with hubbie , first one in 18 months so will probably go mad on alcohol and food

OK I'm going to come creeping out if the 'fat cupboard' I've been hiding in

Can I join you in your weight loss campaign? I weigh 16st + and am horribly disgusted with myself to be honest.

Any ideas would be welcome!

After 2 kids I really don't want to be fat any longer.

wow sarahken! 4st since may.........thats fantastic!!! well done you! good luck for tomorrow hun x

well i've been really good today. i find that drinking a lot of water helps, although it does mean your running to the loo quite often lol.

teadrinker....i know what you mean. i'm sick of being the fat mummy. after 3 kids its time to get my body back to somewhere near where i'd lke it to be (although the chances of getting back my pre children body are about zero)!!!

Turns out I couldn't go to WW after all that as I had double booked with the doctors -all my hard work wasted. So will have to wait till next wednesday now. Will probably out on weight as had my 500 kcal cake and been to my local all you can eat chinese buffet for lunch. Away for the weekend also. So will be on bread and water between sunday to Wednesday- wish me luck

Hi all, Wow 4 st Sarahken, am totally impressed. That is about How much I have to lose. How long has that feat taken you?

I think my motivation is my dcs really. I watched a tv prog about how much damage you can do to your kids with a crappy diet and setting a bad example. I want my kids to grow up healthy and fit without food issues (thanks mum).

here here whyme2 I think I saw that show too and am on guilt trip not so much about what they eat but about the garbage I do.

To give some idea of what I need to do I was 14st when I got married (my 'ideal' is apparently 12-13st which is silly - I'm a tall gal)

Any ideas welcome

whyme2 I was 15st 10lbs in May, but that was when pregnant. My dd weighed 7lb 2oz, but when I came out of hospital and weighed myself a week after I was still 15st 2lbs. I managed to lose another stone in the follwing 10 days by eating healthy, and joined weight watchers in June (2+ weeks post birth) and weighed in at 14st 2.5lbs. Now I'm 11st 1lbs. Hoping to get to 10st 1lb by January 10th as that's when I have to return to work.

Oh gawd, wish I hadn't seen this. I am also the biggest I have ever been. Just can't get motivated. have some knee/feet issues that are stopping me from exercising at the min, (sounds likely but true unfortunately) but it also means I am in the house more and stuffing my face. Well not really stuffing my face actually. Just eating wrong things! I am about 12st 3 I think but very short so not good Think I may have to get my brand new only ridden once bike out though I may need a knee replacement after that!

ooh can I join?

I've joined ww the other week and so far have lost 3 1/2 lbs and am due to go tomorrow so fingers crossed

How do you become a gold member at ww, I was really shocked to find out you get charged even if you didn't go

I'm just outside of my BMI so only need to lose about 2 stone (as if it's that easy, only been trying for 4 years) but it's all around my middle so I resemble a higgly town hero at the mo

Report
terri3 · 04/10/2009 22:15

well done paranoid! and good luck for tomorrow x

i'm following ww but not attending the meetings. moneys tight at the min and just can't afford it. not lost any this week but then again went out for a curry at the weekend so not really that surprised. have stuck my tracker on the kitchen cupboard where i can see it all the time, i find its easier if i write down what i'm eating.

hope everyone else is doing well x

Okay, I've lost 2lb so far and I'm feeling quite positive. I am focusing on no snacks/leftovers and sensible meals. I've also cut out alcohol.
Welcome Dinky, I'm going for a stone by the end of the year.
Got absolutely drenched this morning as I insisted on walking to town and back - good exercise.

Didn't even end up going to WW last week on my b'day as I'd double booked with the doctors. By my scales I had definately lost my 1lb I needed to get my 5th silver 7. Anyhow after my wedding anniversary, my birthday 'all you can eat chinese buffet' and cake, and then 8 alcopops and 2 takeaway teas on Friday night, I managed to put on 4lbs midweek. I think it has all come back off in the last few days. So who knows may have lost that stubborn 1lb, but probably not. At least I had a good time, and I haven't been out for 18 months, so definately deserved

paranoidandconfused you become a gold member when you are within a healthy BMI and have lost at least 10lbs. My weight should be between 8st 1lb and 10st lb- so 10st 1lb is when I become a gold member. I know its shocking they charge. I text our leader last week, and my sister who attends said they put me down as sick last week, so hopefully I won't owe £11 tomorrow They always try and get me to sign up for monthly pass, but I know if I had prepaid I would be encouraged to have bad week and not attend.
