So im making a meal plan.

Inspire me.

I tend to alternate between Green and Red each day. Red today so.

MON - G
TUES - R
WED - G
THUR - R
FRI - G
SAT - R
SUN - G

I don't want to fill up on fruit when im at a loss of what to cook and end up with a stomach ache and farts again.

I have some nice pork steaks, anyone know any free marinades i could do them in?

Good idea, not so much scrolling up and down.

How's everyone finding the sparkly place by the way? I haven't set up a food diary or weigh in thread, don't like the idea of someone 'approving' what I'm eating but I'm odd like that. The recipe section is my favourite bit atm.

I'm sooo dreading weighing myself this week, it's not gonna be pretty

Hiya huns......

Hullo people...

Just checking in so this will be on my 'threads i'm on' thingy.

Today hasn't been too bad but I feel so fat. Haven't had any exercise today & need to poo but can't... TMI?? Good

Well, ya see, I'm having to post drivel so I can reach the magic number of posts & be presented with a key for the recipe section

But, I like it

They all seem like a really supportive bunch of girls, apart from the txt spk & hun... but I do think that's because it's not allowed/approved of here & tend not to post anywhere else

Did I tell yous I bought a bikini? It will likely never see the outside of my suitcase............

Ooh new thread!!
Well not too bad this weekend i don't think. But Friday was really bad so not sure what Tuesday weigh in will bring. Think dp has fallen off the wagon after blaming the dc's for eating the bar of dairy milk he brought from the shop
Haven't eaten enough today as had alpen cereal bar for breakfast and then a sunday roast at 3 ish. Am now hungry and will suffer for missing a meal!!!

TitsalinaBumsquash · 17/05/2009 20:37

DP asked me is i was going to be sporting a Bikini when we go on holiday in Aug i said "not so much" i son't do Bikini's.

I have joined the Sparkly place, i am waititng for the to approve me.

Does everyone else who goes to a group have that nasty 2lbs of fat thing?

The gross jelly type blob they stick on the table and when you loose 2lbs they go "ohhhh you have ost one of these!" our group one is all hairy and has fluff and lint all over it, it really is minging.

Well have a huns, im off.

Ooh, hello .... found you all! Wow - this thread has been busy! Haven't been on for a week or so and still haven't caught up with all the new messages - there are LOADS! Lots of lovely recipes and meal ideas which I'm looking forward to trying, so thanks everyone. I can't get to class at the moment and am using my old books, so some of the new eating plans (EE, for example) are a bit foreign to me. Also, I can't get my head round how some foods were ok years ago but are off limits now (tinned macaroni cheese is one - I noticed somebody asking about it further back on the thread). Oh well, just waiting for my rice to cook and then having a big vegetable curry for my dinner. Cheated and put a little bit of coconut milk into it, which kinda un-SW's it a bit, but it is soooooo yummy .

Hi, I'm getting back on track tomorrow as today has gone a bit pear shaped after a very good start.

I wonder how many more 'back on track' days I am going to need to have. I have 3 months before my holiday and have 2 stone to lose. Can it be done? Or more to the point, can I do it?

I'm getting back on track too, really struggling with combining SW with shift work though. Any ideas for portable meals?

Also, how many syns are walkers baked crisps please?

Kid I think if you count 3 months as 12 weeks - then 2 stone = 28lb

It looks like if you had a loss of 2lb per week that'd be 24lb! Nearly 28lb

OMG, 12 weeks, is that really how long I have left until I go on holiday?
Right, no more take aways and not more falling off the wagon. I have to lose weight!
24lb will do for now, at least I won't feel too big.

I can't believe I have wasted so much time thinking about doing SW, arghhh!

Luna - I can't find that couscous in my book, but any other flavours are either free of 0.5 syns... and they're not light choices, so I'd think it's either free or 0.5syns? (sorry if this doesn't help!!)

Fuzzy - the gym on a Sunday morning? That's dedication for you!!!

I have just made my lunch for tomorrow @ work.. having an EE day. 2 slices of nimble with boiled egg mashed... followed by a HUGE tub of grapes, strawberries, pineapple & raspberries with 1/2 tub of low fat cottage cheese... (I made up double & am also having this for breakfast!)

Dinner I think will be stir fry of some kind, as it's my sister's birthday & I have to go over with her gift!

Haven't done too bad today, am waiting for DH to make a cuppa so I can have my other Alpen light (HEB for today!)

Who was it asked for portable lunch ideas?

How about pasta with a LF dressing (Tesco do one that's free), cucumber & tomato mixed through? You can add other vegs such as peppers, red onion, sweetcorn.. (on a green day obviously)

On a red day I LOVE thick slices of ham rolled up with something inside (Now I had rediscovered cottage cheese I'll put it in with grapes) they are hugely filling.

Do you have a microwave @ work? If so how about a baked spud?

kid · 17/05/2009 22:09

Is the couscous in a 60g pot?
If so, its 1 syn on a green day (10 syns on red)

Report
kid · 17/05/2009 22:15

For lunch I often have couscous (mixed with veg stock cube) and 1/2 tin of vegetable curry. The tin is 12syns, so that makes it 6syns a serving. Still quite high and I'd love a syn free veg curry that I don't have to spend ages making if anyone knows of such a thing!

God I've had a DREADFUL day

breakfast - 2 slices of wm bread with dairylea (a scraping of it)

Lunch - chips and corn from KFC

Dinner - a big pizza from takeaway

Snack - a can of lager

I only lost 1lb this week so I thought fuck it. Not the best idea is it

I fell off the wagon a bit after missing class but had lost 1st 3lb... put some back on but not sure how much so I am going to weigh in (at home, sick of wasting money on the class) and be back on track for tomorrow.

I am going to be relying on you ladies for al my moral support! What is this sparkly place you mention?

I have made salad for lunch tomorrow, breakfast and dinner are sorted too and I even packed myself some snacks to take to work I am going to be SO SO good now. Promise.

(I have just eaten a chocolate sundae though food doesn't count after 10pm though right?)

This is the sparkly place!

I've done a food diary thread & weigh-in one because for me I'm more likely to stick with the plan if I write it down. There is a place on the official SW website but I find it a bit of a faff. I'm also no good at posting inane drivel so it'll help boost my post count. Might get there in about 6 months .

Wow this thread's been busy! Hello to the new people.

Just plucked up the courage to weigh myself (I get stupidly nervous before stepping on the scales) and I've maintained this week which I'm happy with in the circumstances, still got pizza at school to get through today. I'm planning on counting it as all my HE's for today, I know that's not quite right but has to go some way towards mitigating the damage.

My foot's a lot better so I'm hoping to start running again this week and pick up the weight loss again.
