Why would exercising on Slimming World diet not help with weight loss?

Because I have joined again - on Monday - and I really don't think I have lost weight - last time this happened I gave up because was pissed off!

I try and run about 5m a week and go to the gym at least once as well - you would think that would make me loose lots but no I am the same on my scales as I was at Slimming World weigh in and have been good since I went!

Might not help but remember muscle weights 3 times more than fat. The tape measure is much more helpful, I know not much consolation when standing on the scales and not losing anything.

Has only been 4 days too, give it time, it really does work if you follow the plan properly and exercise does help.

Our SW consultant reckoned that if you exercise once a week you will lose 7lb more over a YEAR than if you don't. 14lb over a year if you exercise twice a week. So not a huge effect on weight loss really.

Also second LumpyChump that it really does work if you stick to it...

Weigh yourself before you go to SW this week to calibrate your scales against theirs so you can really see what's happening with your weight if you like to weigh often (like me, at least twice a day!). My scales weigh me 2lb heavier than the SW ones.

Keep at it!

I lost over 2 1/2 stones at SW lat year and have now kept it off for a whole year. During the entire time I was going to the gym 5 times a week. I still only lost 2lb or so a week.

I think it's because I ate more when I exercised. Beacuse SW doesn't control portions I was having 3 or 4 eggs for lunch rather than 2 like a normal person. I weighed out my normal portion of pasta one day and it worked out at 600 cals before I added any sauce / quorn.
Perhaps portion size is something to look at.
