2nd day of diet and Ive been so strict with myself but this afternoon Ive come over sooo bloated, to the point that I can hardly do my trousers up!!! this is what Ive eaten all day:

Breakfast - Mint Tea

Snack - Grapes, carrot sticks and celery. Cup of coffee, skimmed milk

Lunch - Turkey salad with 1 teaspoon light salad cream. Glass of water

Snack - 1 pck of WW biscuits (2 in a pack), 1 glass of water

Why do I feel all bloated? My stomach's killing me - by the way Im at my desk all day

I think you didn't have enough to eat in the morning. My tummy inflates like a football if I let myself 'starve' before eating.

It's only gas, not fat, but I know how uncomfy it is.

Tea isn't a breakfast, you need something a bit more solid imo.

Your stomach thinks you're starving it (which you are) and it's trying to get you to give it some solid food.

I feel terrible if I try the no carbs thing - has actually brought on gall stone attacks - and I'd literally faint if I ate nothing but carrot sticks, grapes and celery all morning.

Definitely need a bigger breakfast much bigger. porridge & fruit or eggs on toast. Your body goes into starvation mode if you don't eat brekkie.

This has happened to me by accident on holiday. If I don't have lunch then take a while to find somewhere nice to eat in the evening my stomach reacts by swelling up and hurting. By then it's too late and eating doesn't make it go away.

You need to eat a wee bit more, and at regular intervals.

That makes sense - Im just trying to cut down on everything but see your point about breakfast.

I will go for cereal and fruit tomorrow first thing. Or a boiled egg.

thanks for your help

Check the WW biscuits to see what the sugar substitute is. If it is sorbitol, then that could be your culprit.

I get bloated if I eat any of the WW sweets or bars.

I also agree that you are not eating enough, particularly at breakfast.

You are starving yourself. A bit of turkey isn't enough protein to keep you fed.

Avoid diet foods. Eat fruit if you want to snack.

Apart from no breakfast I dont think its a starvation diet.

Ok hands up no brekkie but I will rectify that as from tomorrow but whats wrong with mid morning snack of fruit and veg sticks, lunch large turkey salad (this included apple, grapes, green beans, aswell as all salad greens etc...) WW bis in afternoon then tonight a large plate of chicken/vegetables stir-fried?

Breakfast sounds sensible; lunch lacks protein - this is what burns slowly and keeps you feeling 'replete' for longer, so you don't start climbing the walls or feeling headachy (maybe a carton of cottage cheese?)
I'd add a small amount of carbs to dinner - your weight loss will be slower but prob longer lasting for having happened more gradually.
And you're more likely to be able to sustain it.

Im marinating the Salmon in Yoghart and indian style spices so will do vegetable rice I think instead of the salad.

thanks
