I'm going to attempt Gillian's food plan for a week.

Chopped up 2 bananas, 1 mango and 1/2 a pinapple, threw it all in blender.

It was so think I didn't know whehter to eat it with a spoon, so put it back in blender with some water and tried again. Thinner but still had to sort of eat it as i drank so didn't seem right.
So I then juiced my smoothie and could finally drink it.

Trouble is, it's 10.40am and I'd quite like my lunch now! Am snacking on seeds instead!

Have you made (her) smoothies and if so did you just crack on and eat them as oppposed to drink them?

mix with fruit juice thomcat - much nicer.

Also here's one i drank loads of before finding i couldnt eat oranges:

2 bananas
1 tin of mandarins (tesco are the best) in fruit juice
Blend it all together adding more orange juice to taste.

Strawberry and applejuice is also v delicious adding strawberries or more juice to taste.

TIP: halve loads of strawberries the night before and freeze overnight. This makes the smoothie v refreshing esp during summer.

Also: 2 bananas in about 300ml of soya milk (Alpro) makes for a wonderfully thick milkshake (once again using strawberries if preferred).

Also: mango and orange is v nice with orange juice to thin the mixture.

Are you eating these instead of meals? Wow - I'd be starving!

These look great for the kids though - a good way to get them to eat fruit. Mine are OK on fruit though, pity vegetable smoothies aren't as appealing

No not having them instead of food, the smoothie was breakfast. Lunch is soup and dinner is salmon with leeks.

I'm doing the 'You Aare What You Eat' woman's food plan for a week.

So do you think it's acceptable to juice your smoothie and get rid of all the bits, if for example you make a fresh pinapple smoothie?
