I've been doing WW for years but never achieved lifetime membership... all that money wasted (sob!) No, seriously, I'm going back to get rid of at least a stone & it would help to have a 'buddy'! Anyone?

Hi I joined WW on monday. I'm doing 18 points for the first week, I want to lose 3 stone. I was looking for a WW thread on here but couldn't find one.
What day are you going back? They do a montly pass aswell now so cost 17.95 for a month which works out at £4.15 a week and gives you access to their website too.
Thats what I'm doing as it means I have to do it as I don't want to waste my money

I just went back this week. I'm a real fatty bombastic at the moment. Are you going to the meetings etc?

Alriiiiight! Highfive, as my dc say. I'm starting at 9:30 Tues am. I'm going to be cringing (what? not her again!) but tough. We should share what sports we do (if any), if we work outside the home or are sahm, etc. Exchanging recipes would be fabulous, too.

hi there

can i join????!
I signed up to WW again last week (saturday) with my DH. We're doing it together. He has 2.5 stone to lose and so do i. Its much easier doing it together that it was trying to shift the baby weight on my own.

I have already lost 3lb in my first week. But DH lost a massive 8lb in week one .

He thought he was being very clever, but i then reminded him of the tortoise and hare story.........
Why do men lose it soo much faster than us....

Me! Joined on Friday morning. Heavier than I've ever been except when pg. I'm aiming to lose at least 2.5 stone by July, an extra stone after that would be nice. I walked (briskly) to the meeting then ran back - 2 miles each way I could hardly walk yesterday!

Ate out last night (salad no alcohol) then went to cinema (no pick n mix) I've never managed to stick to WW for two whole days so v pleased so far

Well done mine, great losses for both you and your DH.

I'm on the same goal as you amazonian..

My DH has just left to go away for 3 weeks for work so I will find it much easier to be strict, he's skinny and I feel this massive urge to always feed him up and then I over indulge.

Report
amazonianwoman · 11/01/2009 14:39

Oh, life would be much easier if DH was away, he's always bringing back peanuts, mince pies, revels etc etc.

Even if we lose a pound a week we'll lose over 2 stone by July

I weighed myself this morning & almost fainted in shock! Bad news, 5kgs more than I feared, but why am I surprised after 3 weeks of almost total slug-state? So sinusitis or not, I'm going back on the wagon tomorrow as planned.

Chin up cariboo, won't be long and you'll have lost that 5kg. And it was just christmas...

I've just been to the supermarket and stocked up on WW food (hubby away). The little quiches are actually decent, the rest of it a big bleugh but I can't be bothered faffing around cooking for one.

cariboo i'm in the same boat but i lost a few pounds this week so it can be done. Stick with us and we'll get there.

cariboo · 12/01/2009 19:41

No, 'tis more than 5kg. I guessed 7kg overweight but am actually 12kg over. For BMI 25.

Still, must be positive and all! I've done before & I'll do it again - isn't that right, ladies?

Hi - I'm starting tomorrow

I lost 2 stone last year with slimming world but got bored and really struggled with the last 1/2 stone in fact it took me 3 months to lost 1 1/2 stone and 6 months to lose the last 1/2!

Anyway have probably now cos I've pigged out for just over a month got just over a stone to go but felt I needed a change.

How are we all doing? I'm stuck at home this morning cos an electrician is doing some work, and I can hear the Xmas cake on top of the fridge calling my name. Determined to resist...

I'm doing ok on the diet front but not the running - it won't stop raining!

Report
Mine · 13/01/2009 21:30

hi there

i hope you managed to resist the cake Amazonianwoman
Did you manage to get out for your run in the end..?

Hi to everyone else too (waves!)

I've had a good few days. DH and i are really sticking to the points really well. I hope it results in a good loss this week too.

We tried to go for a circuit run together today with DS in his buggy, but we got to the local park, which we have always driven by and never actually walked through, only to find that there is no path to run on and the grass is muddy from all the rain. Also, its littered with drunks and weirdos.
So we decided on taking turns running from home, as in Dh stays home with the baby while i do my run and then he gets to go.

I am soooo unfits its hilarious, but if i can stick to this then i should be able to run 5k in a couple of months

How did the weigh in go this morning cariboo..??

Went to WW last night, and weigh considerably more than I had prepared myself for so came home gutted bu determined! Not thinking of a goal weight yet, going to take it a step at a time.

Had lovely breakfast - salmon and cream cheese bagel with cherry toms. Yum!

I've just pigged out this morning before my first weigh in

I know I will weigh more than I think, but IHO thats good, it keeps you focused as you are more determined to do something about it.

i pigged out last night on a domino's pizza

i've been trying to 'do it myself' with the books i had from last time but its not really working so i think i need to go to the meetings, i NEED the public humiliation to keep me going

Report
Furball · 14/01/2009 10:43

me too sparkles - I find you can easily cheat yourself but to cheat in public is more likely to stop you going to the cupboard and if you do, come back with something healthy like a pear.
