Have either of you got the new plan yet? Not sure I can get my head round it but need to do something to get myself remotivated!

Seems to be that you can eat anything in any combination as long as it's free on either green or red or superfree ie chicken and SW chips, pasta with bacon. Along with that you choose one HEA and one HEB eg 2 slices wholemeal bread or cheese.

Will be going to meeting on Wed and will hopefully find out more but sounds interesting.

Oh it does sound interesting, I'm doing it on-line but haven't looked at it for a few weeks, lazy before and over christmas but starting again tomorow.

Furball, Spanish chicken sounds lovely, will look for the recipie later, I love red days when I can be bothered but this new thing sound good. Wonder how it works though?

KdK, favorite meal???????????? Please let me know if you hear anything in class.

spanish chicken to save you having a delve

I do for 2 adults and a child

2 x chicken breast chopped and browned
handful of chopped chorzio
1/2 chopped onion
1 clove garlic
red pepper
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon chicken bovril
tin of tomatoes - (I blitz mine so it's smooth as ds doesn't like tomato lumps)
handful of olives - (I don't put these in as noone likes them)

fry everything that needs frying, chuck in everything else and simmer for 20-25 mins.

I normally serve on rice but today had with cheesey mash (HE cheese) and veg twas scrummy

kdk - I have stopped going to class and have only heard rumours about the new plan. Would be interested to know what the difference is between it and Success Express?

I am starting SW tomorrow. Have tried it before online but didn't really get it. Bought the Jan/Feb magazine and am feeling inspired again. Hunted out old SW stuff I have and realised I have the Jan/Feb 2006 and Jan/Feb 2007 mag as well! Don't know what happened last year.

So. Am a bit confused as to these Healthy Extras tbh. If I am having a green day and I add meat - is that counted as a healthy extra?

I am overseas too MmeJaffaB - not a lot of low fat dairy around here so am a bit concerned. Can't get low fat cheddar certainly afaik. Can get lots of low fat yoghurts but not fromage frais.

MmeJaffaB · 04/01/2009 14:54

Buda, it can be really difficult to find alternatives. Fromage frais not a problem here, but I can't get quark or cottage cheese, I remember many recipies using both alot. I can get chorizo easily though, tehe

Thanks for the recipie furball, sounds delish, with you on the Olives. Ewwwww!

Oh god, I feel a slight urge of motivation for tomorow already, thank you

buda - if having a green day, yes meat is HE and if a red day then carb (although not rice) is HE.

you don't need low fat cheese, I have really strong cheddar so don't need more than an 1oz anyway

Feeling motivated here too! Knowing I am not alone helps. I love things like veggie chilli and curries etc so am planning lots of them.

Planning on menu planning so I am organised and less likely to slip. Although have 2 nights out this week - Tues and Thurs!!! Tues is at an Indian restaurant but a friend has pre-ordered a buffet. Will stick to veggie curry and rice and limit the wine. Thurs I am not sure as I haven't been to the restaurant before but will be good.

You are so right though. Thats the time I give up, when I'm not organised and have no inspiration, once I've blown it for one meal I find it hard not to blow the rest of the week.

better off with veggie jalfrezi or bombay pots.

Tikka has cream in I think

I am always planning to plan!!! It is the doing that lets me down.

Chicken Tikka, it's normally marinated and then grilled or oven cooked, have it with salad, yummm
not Tikka Massala, Nooooooooo. lol

If you can, you could ask then to stick a poppadom in the Microwave for you. not the same I know but much lower in syns.

I have the same problem Buda, but this time I am determined.

Hi MmeJaffaB

sorry forgot to do fave meal - love fried eggs and SW chips - and now can have bacon as well on new plan! Also steak and tenderstem broccoli - and veg stir fry with cashewnuts. Also have a fantastic recipe for lamb ratatouille which works well on a red day.

Think the new plan just allows you to eat the same but doesn't seem to force you down the red or green day route - you just choose from free foods and then choose 1 of each type of HE. If something's got syns you choose lower value .... does that make sense? Will know more on Wednesday.

I've got a stone to lose - did lose it but stopped smoking and weight has crept backup and finding it hard to get myself motivated again ...

Report
MmeJaffaB · 04/01/2009 18:06

It does make sense but kinda like the old version anyway, using other choice as a HE. Look forward to hearing more after Wednesday if you come back with an update.

Have just had my last supper!

Tomorow here we come, now what shall I have for breakfast?

Do you get fed up thinking about food, I seem to remember from last time I couldn't think of anything else.

don't mean to be dim, but is this the new SW thread?

Roasted veg with harissa is nice, and free on green.

Also butternut squash, sweet potato & lentil soup with chilli flakes.

Not a big fan of red as I like to have SW chips as a late-night snack, but am on a red day tomorrow as making chicken casserole in my new slow cooker.

I am about new plan. Do you think there'll be more info in group than there is on the website?
