For all those using Nintendos' little marvel to help slim down!

My mum got me this for Christmas, and when I go up on it today, it'll be my fifth day . I aim for 30 mins a day but at the minute I'm happy with around 15 at a minimum. Need to start building it up, I want to lose 2-3 stone, taking me to 9st or 8st if I can do it. (Can you tell I've not got kids yet!). Hopefully I can do it, come and join me!

I'll join you.

DD(9) got one for Christmas but I'll be sharing it with her.

Only started last night but I'm going to try to get up tomorrow morning and have a go.

Need to lose 20 lbs. Hoping this will help.

My mum got me one for xmas too... I don't know how to set it up though lol. I'll get DP to do it tonight! I'm in!

Is it possible to lose 3 stone in 4 months?

What sort of diet can I do? I'm not so good with wheat or dairy.

I'm doing 30mins a day on mine - a lot of those minutes are not exactly strenuous though! , need to lose at least 1.5 stone

my weight/bmi has fluctuated wildly on it so far, but hopefully if I keep doing the body test at roughly the same time each day it will even out and I'll get a better idea

Can I join?

I'm starting on Jan 5th going to do 10 mins a day building up to 30mins a day.

I lost 2 and a half stone from jan to june this year with WW and my wii fit and swimming/ walking.

Now I want to tone up my stomach so I can have a bikini body for my honeymoon in September.

I got one too - agree the exercises are not too strenuous, I do it more as a way of getting moving with the kids - we take it in turns and DD is very competitive! I have done 58 minutes in total now, and love the hula hoop one!

I hope the mini mii gets thinner as I lose weight as I am looking like a blob at the moment - cheeky thing thinks I am obese!!!!!!

When I got mine in May I was nearly 12 stone it's really good watching your weight come down and your bmi

Oh can I join? I need to start using mine. Although I don't think I will just use wii fit if thats okay as if dd1 discovers her new games I have a feeling she will bully motivate me. Dancing around the room to HSM has got to be just as good as wii fit no?

I will try and do half an hour each day on wii fit too though, aswell as walking to and from work/dancing/school.

Can I please join? I'm using mine for 30 mins a day but am not dieting as such until 2 Jan. Need to lose lots as my Mii makes that 'booiiiing' sound as it shows my BMI

Mine boings too! and then blows up like a balloon

I would like to join too. I am 26 weeks pg and housebound with SPD but allowed by physio to do very gentle stuff on the Wii fit to cheer myself up a bit, especially the balance exercises. Anything has to be better than watching my thighs balloon further in front of my very eyes.

I wish you could do a special pg Mii though because mine is heeouge!!

I've had mine since August but am a lazy sod and not really used it. I'll be starting again next monday, will start off doing 10-15 mins and then go upto 30 mins by the end of January. Can't start it just yet as I hurt my back wrapping pressies xmas eve .

mysterymoniker · 29/12/2008 13:42

the balance stuff is great, mine has improved a bit over the past 5 days and I'm hoping it will help with my riding

I'm scared of mucking about with my diet too much so hope to get some results just from the extra activity

what do we think are the best activities for weight loss?

The hula hooping and the boxing

Obviously you'll be ignoring the BMI and the Wii Fit age, BoffinMum!!
And stay off the hulahoops or lo will think she is in a washing machine lol!

Dh and I got a Wii Fit in November atm we're finishing off the Christmas crap so aim to start on the Wii Fit and diet regime on Thursday!

Going to start doing 15mins a day, but aim to get up to 30mins.

Only problem is need to do it when ds is asleep or elsewhere as he had a tendency to want to climb all over it!

SnowballsintheSky · 29/12/2008 13:48

I do mine at midnight when DH and DD are asleep and I have finished sorting out the chaos that was left. It's lovely and peaceful.

I've done 15 minutes today. My mii boings too! So annoying.

The BMI is practically off the scale. My Wii fit age was the same as my normal age though, which has to be a blinkin miracle given my current state of decrepitude.

I'm 40fecking9. 12 years older than my actual age. My Mii is bent over as if someone nicked her walking stick!

29, 9 years younger than actual age

(but it seems to be based on my ability to stand still rather than my actual fitness!)

Can I join too please?, DH and I got a Wii fit for chrimbo I registered on Saturday and I am currently an Obese 46 year old i'm only 28 in RL so at that - I do have an eight week old baby though and need to lose three stone.
I will try to get on every day but it will be hard to find the time around 2 DSs!

Depends how often you use it. I think it's after about two hours of aerobic work or something?

Ooh me too, I just got one for Christmas and have been in it every day so far. My mii is quite chubby!!
Liking the step class bit, might get some phone books out to make it harder.

Am absolutely hopeless at anything involving standing on one leg so it will be interesting to see if that improves..
