Had a bad week with fruit last week - bought apples and they were dry, bought plums which were the same and bought a pineapple (love fresh pineapple - my mouth is watering thinking about it ) and it was rotten when I cut into it
Have just sliced up melon and another pineapple for work tomorrow and they seem fine. Trying to be organised for work

That's an inspiring post, YG. MN Mamas has really helped me to stick to healthy eating and exercise. Without these threads I'm sure I would've given up ages ago.

Don't give up Lunarsea - we all have times where we struggle but it will be worth it. I have lost weight before but put it back on for a number of daft reasons. Like Yorkiegirl I am also have asthma and noticed a huge improvement when I lost weight. I also have sciatica in my left hip and again it doesn't bother me unless I carry extra weight. Hang in there - it will get better. I really like the support I get from the Mamas - I go to a slimming world class but it's a big class and while I like the consultant I feel it's very impersonal.
I have IBS too and have been severly stressed at work today which affects it - don't have any medication left for my IBS so resorted to taking paracetamol which only makes it worse - needless to say I have been good today cos I don't want to eat - bit of a drastic way to making sure I behave though

im 27 and have never been able to go to 'normal' shops for my clothes and it makes me really sad, so i think its about time i got off my fat RS and did something about it!

I'm sure you'll look lovely on your night out too but I appreciate what you're saying - it's no fun when everyone else seems to be slim. Hang in there girl

thanks Loobz and coppertop
have managed to find some half decent clothes today despite dd protesting loudly in every shop i went into
got a pair of light brown/beigy with darker speck(weird sounding arnt they?) trews from wallis anda brown short sleeved baby dll top from....spit, cuss, disgusting face.
but did feel nice in them and mam came with me and she really boosted my confidence
although I can still see my wobbly arse and thighs through the trews, ill just have to have a few while getting ready so i forget about them!

Hi everyone. Havent been around for a few weeks, have fallen off my diet big style and to be honest I have steered clear of this thread.
I am going to really try after reading the sermon of YG! Its true, I am sick of looking for nice clothes and ending up feeling like I cant get anything to look good on me. I would so love to be able to buy stuff in size 12 but am feeling so miserable it is like an impossible dream.
Sorry for depressing everyone, but hopefully now I am back I can sort myself out. In the last few weeks I have actually only gained 1.5lbs which is amazing considering what I have been eating.
Any boots up the RS would be gratefully received!

Hi everyone!
I've got my weigh in tomorrow morning, but once again i'm not looking forward to it!! I had a bit of a choccie binge on sunday afternoon and fear I may have done too much damage to mend!! I've been trying to do the success express thing from S.W. but not sure if it will work.

Anyway, I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow, after weigh in I've got a fun day out with the MIL!!!! Argh!! That's enough to put anyone off their food!!!

Hey girlies, all the kids are home and no space to be weighed. Will have to find a way. On the plus side I went to the doctor's yesterday and she said that I looked like I had lost lots of weight and looked great. Fortitude and magnitude.

What's a good set of scales to have at home? Any suggestions please?

Read your wise words Yorkie. Am filling the freezer with good foods and trying to stockpile healthy snacks.

Hi yorkiegirl- Have just seen this thread and you might well be the person i need!! I desperately need to lose weight, I'm making myself miserable. I bought a rosemary connelly workout vid around xmas and started off doing it every day (almost!!) but have slowly done it less and less and now stopped. I bought a set of new scales with a body fat thing on and set that as a reason to start the vid again - two weeks later i'm still sitting here!! I think I need to go public so that i have to make an effort!! Where do i begin??!
