Does anyone want to play? I'm 5'8, roughly 10 st 6lbs. Suspect possibly a couple of lbs more but refuse to get on the scales at night! Am at my best at about 9 st 7 lbs. Want to lose the weight by healthy sensible eating and plenty of exercise. Does anyone want to join in? Don't really want to crash anyone else's thread!

Hi Bearess. I'm a WW, so can't join in, but have you read 'French women don't get fat'? Sounds perfect for you.

Bearess Wed 09-Mar-05 23:59:20

Hurray hurray, when do you want to start?

fairyfly Thu 10-Mar-05 00:01:19

errrrr see, not very good, well not tomorrow anyway as i will need some seeds and pulses etc, stock up on stuff. Anytime after that is fine.

Bearess Thu 10-Mar-05 00:02:37

Ok, shopping tomorrow then, shall we weigh in on Friday morning and start?

turquoise Thu 10-Mar-05 00:03:29

Me too please! I lost a few pounds on the lose a stone after new year thread, but it's all crept back on and a bit more besides. Have also done my neck in so having real problems doing exercise.
But I have cut out drinking again the last couple of days, so could do with a bit of motivation and moral support to cut out biccies, pasta etc.
I've got '5 days to a flatter stomach' which mainly suggest keeping off anything processed, esp bread.

fairyfly Thu 10-Mar-05 00:05:23

Yes friday it is, tomorrow we shall prepare and buy bottled water, thank god you have posted this. Every evening i have been thinking i must start tomorrow.

Bearess Thu 10-Mar-05 00:06:39

oh goody, I was on that thread too but fell off the wagon halfway through, bad Bearess

ThomCat Thu 10-Mar-05 00:06:47

I've just lost about 10 -1 pounds by not having sugar in tea, having brown bread as sandwiched at lunch, oh and no mayo, and no carbs, well 80per cent less in the evening.
Losing weight, niot hungry and not miserable.

Happy to join and swap ideas, recipes etc

Bearess Thu 10-Mar-05 00:07:24

are you up for Friday then turquoise?

fairyfly Thu 10-Mar-05 00:08:08

Bearess Thu 10-Mar-05 00:08:57

hurray Thomcat - like the sound of not hungry and not miserable very much!

ThomCat Thu 10-Mar-05 00:09:14

So, wanna know what i had today?
I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours

turquoise Thu 10-Mar-05 00:09:51

Yes please - friday it is.
Are we having any rules or just cutting back, being healthier etc?

ThomCat Thu 10-Mar-05 00:10:48

I reckon no rules, not really, just healthy and waht suits you/works for you and doesn't make you miserable.

fairyfly Thu 10-Mar-05 00:11:23

off to bed, will check tomorrow if we have any rules, i am going to cut out wheat for a while and drink lots of water

turquoise Thu 10-Mar-05 00:12:24

That sounds good. So what did you have today Thomcat?

Bearess Thu 10-Mar-05 00:13:06

Oh today I have been bad! Started off OK - yoghurty bran flakes, then had hot cross bun then had lunch in the restaurant at Ikea and had one of those open prawn & egg sandwiches (with lashings of mayo) then over half of ds pasta with meatballs as they said they didn't do kiddie portions of that, then we shared a slice of chocolate dime type cake then finished off his jacket pot with cheese at tea time then scoffed some easter egg (got it free with a voucher from Sainsburys so could justify woofing it early!)

Bearess Thu 10-Mar-05 00:14:21

so Thomcat spill the beans - and no rules for me personally but agree everyone should do what works for them>

ThomCat Thu 10-Mar-05 00:16:00
