Does anyone want to play? I'm 5'8, roughly 10 st 6lbs. Suspect possibly a couple of lbs more but refuse to get on the scales at night! Am at my best at about 9 st 7 lbs. Want to lose the weight by healthy sensible eating and plenty of exercise. Does anyone want to join in? Don't really want to crash anyone else's thread!

Hi Bearess. I'm a WW, so can't join in, but have you read 'French women don't get fat'? Sounds perfect for you.

Me too please! I lost a few pounds on the lose a stone after new year thread, but it's all crept back on and a bit more besides. Have also done my neck in so having real problems doing exercise.
But I have cut out drinking again the last couple of days, so could do with a bit of motivation and moral support to cut out biccies, pasta etc.
I've got '5 days to a flatter stomach' which mainly suggest keeping off anything processed, esp bread.

I've just lost about 10 -1 pounds by not having sugar in tea, having brown bread as sandwiched at lunch, oh and no mayo, and no carbs, well 80per cent less in the evening.
Losing weight, niot hungry and not miserable.

Happy to join and swap ideas, recipes etc

Yes please - friday it is.
Are we having any rules or just cutting back, being healthier etc?

Report
ThomCat · 10/03/2005 00:10

I reckon no rules, not really, just healthy and waht suits you/works for you and doesn't make you miserable.

fairyfly · 10/03/2005 00:11

off to bed, will check tomorrow if we have any rules, i am going to cut out wheat for a while and drink lots of water

turquoise · 10/03/2005 00:12

That sounds good. So what did you have today Thomcat?

Report
Bearess · 10/03/2005 00:13

Oh today I have been bad! Started off OK - yoghurty bran flakes, then had hot cross bun then had lunch in the restaurant at Ikea and had one of those open prawn & egg sandwiches (with lashings of mayo) then over half of ds pasta with meatballs as they said they didn't do kiddie portions of that, then we shared a slice of chocolate dime type cake then finished off his jacket pot with cheese at tea time then scoffed some easter egg (got it free with a voucher from Sainsburys so could justify woofing it early!)

Agreed. I've had 3 days without alcolhol, and today ate:
2 bits of toast and marmite
4 mini spring rolls with soy sauce
a big bio yogurt
portion of shepherds pie (bad because dbl cream in the mash)
Big bowl of ice cream
Loads of cups of tea and coffee.

So very interested in the non-miserable, non-hungry diet!
