HAS ANYONE DONE WEIGHTLOSS RESOURCES ONLINE?

I signed up to a 24 hour free trial and it seems quite good.
Has anyone else done this and has it worked for them?

Ah, this is funny you should post this today! I was looking for the calorific value of a banana earlier today, and this site came up! I can't tell you if it's any good, but would love to know, as it did look pretty good!

You enter in your details and how much weight you'd like to lose in a week and you get your daily calorie amounts.
Then you just type in what you've eaten and it comes up with the calorie value, and how many you've got left for the day.

You can put in your recipes and it works out the calories per portion, which I think is good as when I did weight watchers I could never figure out the points in my own recipes.

Also there's a bit for exercise, you put in what you've done that day and it adds it onto your calorie allowance for the day.

Adn other things like your weight and measurements ect can be updated.
It costs £9.99 per month, but there's no joining fee so that's not too bad.

I might join for a month and see how it goes.
The only thing is I'd have to be online every day most of the day to input my food adn see how many calories I've got left.

But I looked at Rosemary Conley online, and I suppose this is the same - except for the prices!
I'll let you know how I get on.

wow, it does sound good. i've just started doing it myself. i mean, i've done other diets, such a slimming world, and I just can't face the thought of that again. I know those diets are easy, as it's all worked out, they tell you what you can have, and not have, you barely have to think about it!

I guess what I want is to literally be choosing what I eat, knowing the calories in it, roughly or precisely. It being entirely my choice. Makes me feel more in control than ever really. I feel very positive about loosing it.

THis website does sound like the exact tool I need to do what I am doing.

Batters, does it actually give you a diet laid out to follow, or is it really just a way to work out your calories?

OOoo, I feel all positive to day!

hello - newish to mumsnet - joined when DD1 was born but then fell off.

I use "caloriecount plus". It's free! I find it pretty useful, although it's american so calorie searches for particular food sometimes come up a bit different to our foods. Fairly easy to use , though...gives you targets and you are able to add exercise amounts in daily to a "burn meter".

I've paid for online diet pages before and almost always fall off them and waste my money. But maybe that's just me...

hope you find something suitable - I think they do help.

Blimey, well done batters!!

susie - I don't think it does diet plans, not as far as I can see anyway.
I think if you enter in, say tesco big cream bun, it will come up with the calorie value of that.
And if it doesn't have what you're looking for you can enter the nutrition details of that product and then you'll have that product on your favourites food data base bit, so you just go into it and pick foods easily that you've had before.

I think it's the recipe thing that appeals to me. I can enter all the ingredients and it calculates how many calories there are per portion.
