I've put on about 3lb, so definitely need to knuckle down and "be serious" again. ... but should I wait until the chocolates, mince pies, and Christmas cake has all been eaten before I start?!!!

Dh has also had a week "off track" and the gym's been closed ... he's LOST 3lb

put on 4lbs - so back to a cobbled together oplan based on slimming world can't get to classess and on line is too expensive. Also my mum brought a teach you rself belly dancing kit for me at Christmas so will seriously start that I may see if I can lose a stone and a half for teh end of Feb had lost over a stone but now it is back to just under

The problem is I love Christmas cake, and we have a huge one, but I haven't even got round to decorating it yet! I have all the stuff ready. I think I might decorate it and drop it in to the staff room at school just to scupper everyone else's post-Christmas diet!!!

None of you need to worry - I have put on 8lbs (yes EIGHT) and am still eating. Going to try and finish off all the Christmas food we still have in and get the dreaded WeightWatchers journal out again on Monday Why is it so hard to lose and so damn easy to put back on?

Too right, YG. And I will lose it again (and still 2 stone less than I was this time last year so it's all relative, eh?)

That is sad - you have to live a little too (OK, so I've lived a little too much but never mind).

I haven't had a weigh-in since 14 Dec (missed 21 Dec class, then class on hols until 4 Jan) so am absolutely dreading next weigh-in. Lots of overeating (not all of it stuff I wanted to eat, more lazy eating because it was there) and not enough exercise...reckon have put on 7lbs. Oh well, new Slimming World rules to follow will mean a fresh start.

YG - 2lb is nothing though!! I wouldn't get stressed about 2lb if I were you!

Carla - don't worry, me too - I've rushed around like a loon, still been going to the gym (going for that swim each morning is mainly for my sanity and a chance to shower in peace!!) and purposely didn't buy loads of Xmas food because it just never gets eaten.

Tell you what though - losing weight isn't all it's cracked up to be - the slimmer I get, the worse my tummy looks as after 3 babies it's stretched beyond it's elastic point and it's all 'crinkly' - eeew!

My DP was ill in bed over Christmas so I ended up eating my portion plus his, plus extra as I was bored and fed up celebrating on my own, haven't actually been weighed yet but struggled to do up my jeans yesterday!

That's what Christmas is all about though, overindulgence! I must admit I enjoyed every bit of it!!!
