Slender in September

Hi, here's the new thread. Always love the new start that September brings with back to school and all the jazz. I'm unfortunately starting the month heavier, 9st2.5, bit cross with myself to be honest, know I have been comfort eating, its got to stop. Aim for this month is as ever yawn, 8st13.

Signing in! I managed to reverse a little holiday cheese induced damage and am clocking in at 134.4lbs. Goal, as always, is 130lbs.

I am not in the headspace for a very strict phase so I am going to do plenty of exercise, watch my calories and focus on good quality fresh food. Long term working from home is definitely impacting me negatively and will get worse as it gets colder and darker so I need to build some good positive coping strategies.

Good luck everyone!

Just ate some butter on some corn cakes. That was silly. Was avoiding dairy and particularly butter and cheese (obvs).
Making a turkey mince bolognaise for supper tonight to have with spaghetti.
Have had a small handful of sunflower seeds and 6 corn cakes (half of which were buttered).
Butter is my nemesis.

Ooh slender. That would be nice!

Resisted the plates of sandwiches and cakes sent to our department at lunch time and fasted today. Apparently I’ve done 17 flights of stairs already and burned considerably more calories than I normally would have so there’s a positive to going back to work!

I did check the scales today and I’m up a bit but not too bad. Now knackered. Not used to this getting up early and going to work business.

Too much information overload to think what my goal for September is other than survive the first month back in school

Thanks octopus!

I am the same, keeping up the activity I've managed to make habitual and continuing eating well are my aims. I know I'm more energetic for it and two people have said I look really well and they 'couldn't put their finger on it' lol. Isn't it mad really to think 10 pounds of butter difference isn't noticed. My aim for Sept is to get sub 9 but short term just to get to 9 in next week. I'm going to do a JS and do 5 low days and 2 high (mid 1600s).

You're right Honeybadger I'm at almost 10k steps and haven't gone for a walk yet. I think I'll hit 11 and leave any extra walk for today as I woke too early so have to get decent sleep in also.

Hello I’d like to join. I’m currently about 9 stone 5 in the morning but would ideally like to be 8.13, so that I’m into the 8s rather than 9s when I step on the scale! I had a baby 3 months ago so been trying to lose the extra weight by doing a lot of steps with the pram but need to stop snacking so much in the evenings!

I will add I’m only 5”1 so any extra weight shows so quickly on me 🤦🏻‍♀️

Can i join. I've joined so many of these threads and then vanished.
Currently 146lbs. Want to be 130something at the most at the end of this month.

Hi everyone, thanks for the new threat @octopus

Just looked back at my goals for August's, which were to maintain 10st and keep at the exercise. I'm pleased to say I stuck to it. I was 9'13.5 so marginally under 10st this morning Grin

Goal for this month is to stick with a balance between cal counting days and days off to see if I can continue to maintain this weight, and keep up the exercise 3-4 times a week.

September brings a new work pattern for me, lots of early starts and school pick up so the challenge will be managing around my new routine!

B Greek yog, berries, protein shake
L jacket & beans
D turkey chilli
S satsumas, dates (basically fudge - never tried them before!) and all the tea & coffee

Here's to a good months troops!

I ate pizza and chips for dinner but managed to stay within my allowance. I'm going to set myself a new step challenge tomorrow once I've seen how many steps the school run is. I'll try and avoid weighing until next Monday now but no guarantees on that one

Broke my fast with some halloumi and crackers and olives and gherkin and red wine last night.

Think I’ll fast until end of work today but then eat as I’m going swimming at 8. Have instructed my friend to drag me there as I know I’ll be knackered and won’t feel like it but it’s a great way to clear my head and get a decent nights sleep.

Have a good day everyone

9st0.5 wohoo! Grin Thrilled. Now unfortunately the stomach pull of period on the way so hope that doesn't set back my March to 9st by the weekend!

Welcome to newbies. Congratulations @Heygirlheyboy and @Hangoverstruggles

So I just about maintained my goal weight in August which is thanks largely to the weight loss overshoot which provided damage limitation for my holiday gains. I lost 2 of those holiday 5lbs by this morning so i'm back to just under 10 stone which is marvellous. I just bought new clothes and don't want to flab out of them before I have a chance to wear them!

My goals are to try to be consistent in my calories. Try to get a handle on the almost bingeing. It's so easy to eat 1000 calories in one meal. I went out for dinner last night and it was no difficulty to have burger, chips, onion rings and dessert. I want to be able to go out for dinner sometimes but it's hella tricky.
