Zara Sizing.....or immense lockdown gain???

Help....

So I bought a pair of Zara denim cut offs today - in a 14.

I’ve definitely gained a couple of stone in lockdown so gone from a 10/12 to a definite 12/14.

‘Medium’ still fits me in tops from pretty much everywhere. Boden, who I’ve ordered from quite a bit during lockdown, I’m still a 12 (albeit it’s casual rather than tailored). I bought some 14 jeans from topshop a few weeks ago and they fit well.

The Zara 14 shorts are TINY. I can put them on but am nowhere near to being able to zip up / button them. It’s left me thoroughly down.

Any words on Zara sizing? I was already trying to lose a bit but this is a massive kick up the bum. Feeling v upset

I used to have to wear a large in Zara tops when I weighed 8.5 stone. I haven't bothered trying now I weigh a good chunk more than that :p

I don't even look at zara. The sizing is exceptionally small.

Zara generally comes up small and is often a bit odd. I got stuck in a shirt there once because although it was fine everywhere else the arm holes were stupidly small.

Zara sizing is stupidly small, I am 56kg (down from 80 at my highest) and I need either a medium or large.

Bloody hell, some of your experiences are crazy! I won’t feel as bad then, the other things I bought today are lovely, and I’ve come to accept a 14 is better than a squeezed into 12. Now I’d love to get back to my 10/12 and I’m back at the gym, but I’ve got to dress myself in the meantime and I don’t want to hate myself, the last few months have been shitty so if the worst that im left with is a bit of weight gain.

Thanks all for the reassurance.
