I just can’t do it

So bloody, fucking fed up of myself. I lose a stone then revert back to being a lazy, greedy pig and end up putting even more back on. I feel horrendous.

Have just ordered some new weighing scales, they come tomorrow. I have to stick to this!!! It’s only going to get worse & before I know it I’ll be middle aged and even more obese with little chance of turning back!

Just ranting!! Anyone want to join who is a real human who struggles?! I need people to lose weight & laugh with... Grin

Yep. I think you're me except I haven't been brave enough to start a post.
I would like to give up on giving up. Start and stop every week, feels like every day.
What way are you thinking of losing the weight?

Nuffaluff · 04/08/2020 19:36

Yes please, me. I am hopeless. I want to lose about 10lb, but today I ate about ten biscuits. One for each lb.

StepawayfromtheBiscuittin · 04/08/2020 19:36

And OP, yes, I would eat your banana

@StepawayfromtheBiscuittin Very ok reasonably good at getting the kids to eat their banana, not following my on advice - clearly!

I have no bloody idea. I thought maybe I’ll just eat veg & salad for a week, or maybe I’ll just eat one meal a day for a month. I no these things don’t stand the test of time but I seem to have no will power unless I am really controlling & strict! But then that lasts 5 mins... sigh. What are you thinking?

@Nuffaluff 10lbs! Pah, childs play... you are practically a twig! No I’m only kidding... it’s a bloody hard slog. What are you plans?

I don’t know. I would just like to be able to stick to healthy eating and cut out the snacks. It’s the snacks that are my downfall.
I’m putting weight on at the moment and my clothes are too tight!
I’d just like some accountability. Somewhere to tell people what I’ve eaten, what exercise I’ve taken.

I'd like to join in. Just had a baby 2 months ago and have a fair bit to lose plus would like to get fit (ish) again. Only thing that works for me is tracking calories on an app and sticking to it. I've dusted off my Fitbit as well ! Lost 6 stone years ago and have found over 2 of it. Lol.

sorrall · 04/08/2020 20:22

Yes I will join for sure. Tomorrow!

I will weigh myself tomorrow and report back. I really need to sort my shit out.

@Nuffaluff share away! I think 100% honesty is good! After all we’re all anonymous!

So being completely honest today I’ve had:

A mozzarella & tomato sandwich & latte from a cafe.

Dinner was jacket potato with cheese & butter, salad and Linda McCartney sausage rolls... but, I had FOUR of the bloody things. So delicious.

I’ve then just had some salted caramel galaxy 😫 ffs. I will have more, don’t doubt it.

Lost 6 stone years ago and have found over 2 of it. Lol. 🤣🤣🤣 @Cheesewine! Congratulations on baby! What are your plans? My children are 3 & 1 so you’re way ahead of me with timing! The baby weight excuse is starting to wear thin 🙃

@Eatyourbanana I've got to do this, it's starting to make me really unhappy. I don't look like me anymore.

@eatyourbanana today I had scrambled eggs for breakfast, 3 potato croquettes that my partner didn't want with his dinner for work (Nightshift ). I shouldn't have had them lol and I had porridge with nuts for dinner because that's what I fancied. Just putting all food Into my Fitbit app and trying to stay between 1200 and 1400 calories a day.

Been getting out walks with the pram , tried a jog with it yesterday lol, but the weather's terrible now so doing some fitness videos in the house. Started last Monday but would be great to have somewhere to be held accountable.

On my own most of the time with my daughter and I tend to eat when bored !

I knew post birth of DD i had pregnancy weight to shift and weight from a very inactive job where i sit down and eat all day. A video of me playing with DD was the kick up the arse i needed. My face was so fat. Ive lost 2.5st since end of april, im aiming for 3 but i keep slacking with my static bike since we came back from holiday and i took a week off, im putting the weight i lost in the week back on over the weekend and im going around in circles. I hate my static bike with a passion and i want to stuff my face but where ive held self control for a few months, its easier to ignore. A share bag of m and ms lasted me over 3 weeks whereas normally id eat the lot. I know it wont last though and ill bloody put it back on, i smell a burger and put on 5lb. It excercise and calorie restricting or instant weight gain

I could have written this! I'll loose a stone or so then put it back on plus a bit. Have been in the cycle for years, which has resulted in me now being disgustingly fat. Rapidly approaching 20 stone if I don't do something now.

Youngest is 8 months old and I had gestational diabetes in the pregnancy so it's a big deal to carry on being fat. I gained 3 stone from when pregnant, lost 2 1/2 pretty quickly (mostly baby abs fluid!) then have gained most of it back being stuck at home as exercise was dropped.

My mum took a video of me playing with my older dd and it was horrific. I cried... then signed up to Noom to see how that goes and have started doing 30 minutes a day yoga aimed at weight loss.

I am not going to be honest about today! Let’s just say it was ten biscuits plus anything else i could lay my hands on.
I’m about to eat dinner and I’m not even hungry because I’ve eaten so much!
I will do MFP tomorrow and write it down here, plus my exercise.
(And in a few days maybe if I’ve lost some weight I’ll record that here too).
Good luck everyone

I’m just up to my neck in ‘eat less, move more’ threads & they drive me mad! Like we don’t all know... the reality isn’t so simple! Well in theory it is but ya know... it’s tough.

I don’t know if I’m a comfort eater (likely) or a boredom eater (also likely) or I just like the taste of food (definitely likely) but I really, really want to lose weight!

I’m going to get the kids in the double buggy tomorrow & walk to the park, start small...

Will keep updating on here, you can hold me to accountability!

@Gin4thewin congrats on your baby and also on making the bag of M&Ms last three weeks. I'm more in awe of the latter!
I've got three children and if I add up their weight, that's the amount I have to lose. Blush
They are quite young and all have their dads build but still...

The plan that's worked best for me in the three weeks I managed to stick with it was the Blood Sugar diet and as I have pcos I think I should give it another lash.

Good luck to us all for tomorrow. I'll be having scrambled eggs for my breakfast - a vast improvement on the four biscuits and coffee I had today. I finished the packet so at least there's none left to tempt me any more.

I am an emotional eater. I eat when I’m stressed , I eat when I’m bored, I eat when I’m sad.
I’m going to do some exercise in the morning before everyone is up, as I find I eat better if I’ve gone for a run or something.

I'll join you! The other thread I'm on has gone very quiet and I'm mainly talking to myself over there Blush
I started intermittent fasting-roughly 16:8- on the 17th June or thereabouts. I stick to around 1250 calories a day (that's my limit but look at the weekly average to allow for hungry days) and don't eat after my dinner at 5pm. I eat breakfast around 9am, lunch at midday, dinner at 5pm. I used to snack and consume about a quarter of a days calories when reading in bed or watching tv and having a cut off time has stopped that completely.
I don't know my exact starting weight as I didn't have scales until 3 weeks ago but I estimate about 11stone and was 10st 5lb when I got the scales. I'm now 9st 13lb and am aiming for 9st 4lb. I've increased my exercise/activity and bought a Fitbit and log everything on my fitness pal. I don't eat my exercise calories. My goals are:
10,000 steps,
25 flights of stairs
10 active hours
30 active minutes
12 glasses of water
4 miles
9 hours sleep (which I never manage as I'm always reading until late or on here).
Having those goals has really helped keep me motivated and I wish I'd got a Fitbit ages ago. Lockdown has forced me to give up my daily 5 mile school run walk and I comfort ate at the start. Now I'm on a mission to lose the lard! I am eating more healthily and more aware of what I'm eating. I need to work on lunch options and increase my protein and fibre there.

It's not easy is it? I'm hungry every night and my stomach is particularly loud about it tonightConfused Every morning though I just feel normal hungry so my body must adjust overnight and I am pretty good at ignoring it now.

Good luck everyone Smile

Paha i was impressed myself, i was just taking one everytime i opened the cupboard to get food or a cup for one of the kiddos, so a couple a day.

Im just so sick of my day revolving around getting the bike in, either trying to do it in the day and hope DD naps long enough to get my 20km or as close too done or once their in bed and them im wide awake all night.

I eat one small meal a day, as much as im used to it now, its still shit. Im 5ft10 and do carry my weight well. Im aiming for 11st13lb having started at 14st13lb but ill go based on how i look now more than anything. I dont want to be skinny, just happy and have a bit more confidence.

Waiting for the initial gym rush to be over and then ill start going, i have a lot of loose skin from loosing 6st after my 1st child but that was weight gained from the contraceptive injection!!

Im dreading finding a way of balancing excercise and meals when ive lost enough weight tbh, just to maintain it. Plus i go back to work in 6 weeks so will have to re evaluate it again
