Weight loss plateau

Since early June I've lost about a stone (I didn't start tracking straight away), and know I've definitely lost 10lb.

I am very heavy (226-228lb, depending on what my scales decide to tell me). I exercise a lot (typically 90 minutes on the cross trainer and one hour on the inclined treadmill, but it can be more than that), and my Fitbit says I'm burning between 3100-3600kcals a day. I'm very active in my everyday life, I don't sit around all day, I'm always up and about cleaning, cooking and generally "busy beeing" as my DH calls it and usually only sit for a few hours after 9pm.

In terms of food. MFP says I eat about 1700kcals a day. Typically no breakfast, a small jacket potato at lunch with cottage cheese and a few sundried tomatoes on top; dinner is things like spag bol but with courgetti rather than pasta. I pretty much weigh everything. Only eat a few complex carbs.

My DH says I'm not eating enough and doing too much exercise. But that doesn't really compute with me. A few years ago I lost 4 stone in as many months for my wedding by doing even more activity than I am now.

Despite my size I feel really fit, I could exercise and be active for hours a day. My resting heart rate is down to 57. I no longer smoke, I've had two drinks in 9 months and not often drank before that. I'm running out of ideas.

This could be me, I lost 4 stone over a year and now I am completely stuck at 202 Lbs
I want to lose another 2 stone but it just wont budge
I am also virtually tea total, I think it must be the food or portion size or something. I have to eat around 1200 Kcal a day to lose even though all the calculators say my bmr is 1600

It's weird isn't it? @vickibee

Still no loss for me, I'm going to start eating breakfast again, to see if it helps.

Sorry, I don't have an answer, but you could look into insulin resistance andtbe effects of cortisol. Dr Jason Fung videos or the Obesity Code. Plus Gin Stevens, Feast Fast Repeat explains these plateaus and solutions well.

You are me!! Ever so slightly lighter, super active. The only success I have now is with intermittent fasting and low carb but even that is slooow. It takes all my willpower and headspace.

@DianaT1969 Thanks. I had gestational diabetes with my last and possibly second pregnancy.

How long have you plateaud for ? I get stuck on the same weight for weeks but then suddenly lose a few pounds . I just keep going .. drink loads of water and try to avoid sweetners and milk if you can as this helps me lose . But mostly drinking loads of water !

Second obesity code / jason fung. There are some good youtube videos of his where he explains why some people plateau and what you can do about it. It's all about resetting your internal insulin baseline.
